Anyways, Question. Why was political parties and election taken out? Not a critique but curious as to how that decision came about and why? We want to do a lot mroe with political parties in the future including a whole cabinet section for the game.
Do you plan to include government systems other than just political parties

Just to make it sure: so all of the the terraforming tools are usable on all of the potentially terraformable tiles? That is, even the lowest tier terraformer can be used to improve the same tile as the most advanced terraformer? Because if yes, then this is exactly the mod I'm looking for. The terraforming mechanics in GalCiv 3 always annoyed me due to the constant fear of wasting terraformers. Also, I think that now I will finally have a use to all of those strategic resources I
I've noticed that aside from biospheres which can terraform pretty much any tile, the UTs can only terraform the greatest number of tiles (as they are reusable). HOWEVER, I have noticed that there are some tles the UTs _can't_ improve, but earlier terraformers can. What I have started to do is wait until I've developed ALL of the terraforming techs. Then I start with the UTs and place them everywhere they ca

It's about ultra terraformers. They can terraform the same hexes as the two first terraformers you unlock in the game. We will call these hexes as "tier 1 hexes" here for the sake of simplicity, as there are other, lower quality hexes, that require better terraformers. But that's not the problem; the problem is that by the time I unlock them, I might have used other advanced terraformers to terraform those tier 1 hexes. That's because most people will simply use any terraformer to

There should be lesser military sanctions/blockades, cold war, etc. options like: -blocking trade routes. -be able to attack enemy ships that come within your "borders" or withing 5 hexes of your planets and
Big mistake, impossible to live up to the hype. [e digicons]:P[/e]
Indeed. Also, according to what I've read, Wargaming is only going to publish it. The actual devs are NGD, an Argentinian developer. But when regarding classics like MoO, I'm uncertain if a small studio will be able to handle the extreme weight that will come with it.

I have decided to put here a few suggestions for mechanics that could be included in GalCiv III by expansions or DLCs. There are two things that I think that would greatly improve the depth, roleplaying and immersion of the game. These would be to see which race populate a specific planet (and if there is more than one race living there) and the ability to choose how to treat those people. Let's do the first idea first. In Stardrive 2, each planet can be populated by more than one

Good thread. Sometimes I think that being a game developer can a frustrating experience, as regardless of how much work and passion you put on your game, there will always be those who will come in and just throw arrogant or ignorant negative reviews endlessly, and as was already said, negative points are much more noticeable than the positive ones. That's why I see the importance in this thread, so to show to the devs that many of us do care and love them. And kudos to Brad and a

I have to agree with the OP, official game reviewers tend to be more honest than the average player, despite the stereotype that all gaming reviewing sites are buy outs. But I'm still VERY concerned with those negative Steam reviews. I have developed a love towards GalCiv III and its devs, so I obviously don't want the game to fail. I've already made my positive review here , but still.</p

I think that so far, some of the best ways to improve immersion and flavour would be to: - Visually display improvements with some art, displayed on the part of the UI that details the improvement in question; - Add some kind of politics in future expansions (and if you do, please make it a deep and significant mechanic rather than something bland)

One of the things I like in GC3 is how the ships move in the battles: they aren't limited to 2 dimensions, like in Stardrive 2. They can move in all directions, including up and down. HOWEVER, the camera is limited. I've been through several situations in which theres a ship above your camera level, and you wouldn't be able to see it, because your camera won't allow. The only way click and hold the mouse scroll so that you can see the battle from "below". Thankfully, t

Regarding the aesthetics of the planets, the devs have finally made the night side of the planets look darker (it was too bright before, didn't look like the night side). But now, they need to make the city lights brighter. So far, they don't really look like lights. They look like shady white spots on the planets. So just make them a bit brighter if they are to represent city lights, after all, lights are bright (duh).

How do I change the name of my custom faction's home system and its planets? For example, I created my own human faction. Their home planet is named Earth, but so is the star (which would be the Sun), and the other planets like Mars or Jupiter are Earth III or Earth IV, for example. Also, how do I change the image that shows up in the screen when you start a new game? I mean the screen where it is written the faction's description, strengths and weaknesses, whose image usually
