I've gotta say I'm very interested in Ashes of the Singularity. Looking forward to it.
I wanted to experiment with designs that weren't the usual linear design and came up with this: Reduced 57% Original 985 x 608 <div class="resized" style="w
The All Powerful U.P. : One thing I hate more than anything else is the planet protection act that AI love to say Yes to. So now I can no longer populate planets great ... If this was just for planet's in the neutral zone than I would be fine with it but your telling me I cannot populate Mars which is well within my territory because you will do what? Basically Laws are meant to be broken. Certain Laws that come across ju
Will it be available for other people after the launch?
Some of you guys might be pissed off, but remember that this is a tremendously good opportunity for people like me who haven't bought the game yet. In fact, I just bought right now.
Some people seem to think they can't design ships. The wonderful examples here seem to scare them off. This is hopefully a reminder that simple can be epic. The ship has 6 identical parts and no animation tricks. All the weapons are shrunk and hidden in the rings. Laser beams originate mysteriously from secret places. It looks like silent menace when gliding across the map.&nbs
I really like the ideas. After all, many 4X games are currently lacking in diplomacy. But can those suggestions still be implemented at this late stage of development of GalCiv III?
So we can import pictures for our faction leaders? What about importing the background image? I think now I can totally create my space Roman Empire!
It makes me sad to think that MOO2 was released before I was born, so I never had a chance to play it. It looks like I have been born in the wrong generation for gaming...

Besides, they have no unrealistic smoke. But I have to agree that the photon torpedoes of Star Trek would look very good in GC3.
Indeed. Not only the lasers look too large and bright, they are also too abundant in battle. It doesn't take long until the battle is filled with lasers firing all the time, non stop. I'll also propose a comparison: This is from GalCiv II . The battles look much better. And this is GalCiv III Besides, the battle in GalCiv III are extremely fast and
Finally! I'm just playing right now and only now I notice the importance of starbases. They cause a lot of damage on the enemy and gives me time for my forces to arrive on my colonies being attacked. Thanks for the help guys!
Check out this, some youtube videos, or the strategy section of this forum.
Actually, I already know how to play the game, everything I need are strategies to help me defendind systems, but I think this will help: A well set up defense will consist of a starbase, with 3-5 repair bays and perhaps a hangar for fighter support and abilities clustered together. You'll probably want your research labs and o
Indeed. The only time I've beat an enemy I was against an Vasari Rebel "easy defender", because I thought the Vasari Loyalists are more combat focused, making then stronger. But I had luck that time. It doesn't matter the enemy, even in the easy difficulty, I ALWAYS get raped out of the map. Can you guys show me strategyes or things like that to help me out?
