While getting my daily dose of /. articles I found this quite interesting. It refered to an New Scientist article about a company, Actuality Systems that has developed a sphere that allows you to see 3-dimmentional images inside it. It's

I downloaded the Black Mesa visual style and put it throught Skins Studio. All the Task Panel images are present in Skins Studio, but when I apply the skin in WB it is non-existant. It's not even displayed without skinning. The whole Task Panel is simply gone. It's present again when I apply any other skins.

What I say is; don't go for the cheapest out there. I bought one really cheap just to try it out. And it was fine just to try it out, but I quickly found it to not be good enough. Drawing a smooth line is difficult, something I think is because the pad's resolution isn't very good. Go for something mid-range.

Zubaz: It was Marting proposing a standard way of saving widget information. After discuissions it was agreed that XML was the way to go. Have a look at his WC site http://martin.wincustomize.com/ for more info. My thing with DX is that I feel that it isn't very friendly for scripting. At least when your scripts become a little more complicated and bigger. There is much room for improvement when it comes to the script editor.

I've been thinking of making an object where I need to the same thing actually. I haven't tried, but I'll have a look when I've completed my project. I wonder if it can be loaded like windows does. Say if you want icon number 3 from the explorer.exe file you refer to it like this: "C:\windows\explorer.exe,3". Not sure if that'll work. Might have to use an ActiveX or COM control. I wonder if it's possible to use the Imagelist ocx control (from the Commo

Sure, I can have a look. But I might be rather busy until wednesday as I have a project deadline comming up. I'm too spoiled by having worked in C and C++ I wish I could do C. I've looked at it, but I've realised it'd something you have to invest a little bit more time in than, VB, JS and PHP. Thoug

The only thing I hope IE7 does is to knock Firefox's growing download count to a stand still and maybe bring some of those Firefox users back to IE. Why? I'm not bothered with what browser people use as long as the browser doesn't cause much headacke as a webdeveloper.
