When my sovereign is in auto-explore mode and I click to manually divert him to capture a city, he will fight the battle but the city remains with its original owner. Not sure whether this is because he moves off as part of his move or another issue.

An argument could be made either way, as well as for it to be averaged and charged over the entire build time. Overly complex imho, but could be more realistic if throwing such a word around makes sense in this. :-) My personal take - if building is not instant then I hate the thought of paying up front, and if you can go into the negative w.r.t. gold then it is not a bad thing. Perhaps a screen on the economic window that shows how much will come due in the upcoming
In the text, should be "its" rather than "it's".
I'll restrict my testing to my true XP system then. :-)
Intro movie loads up fine. For a while it got to the creating world screen. After adjusting resolution to higher than 1024x768 it crashes after exiting intro movie. No crash logfiles appear to be generated. DxDiag generated after crash from 1024x768 mode. Crashes in other modes also appear to reduce resolution on exit. Happens whether in full screen, unity, or windowed OS modes. ------------------ System Information ------------------<
Is this a sine that the beta is upon us?
Arrived and downloading now (7.2%). If years were minutes, I'd only be minutes away from uber flying ships...
Playing around with the intro screen last night, I noticed that: - five AIs at fool (that is one level below normal, correct?) gave me an overall difficulty of "challenging" or such. - five AIs at normal ave me a rating of "tolerable". I would think tolerable is easier than challenging. While I can understand difficulty level going up as you make good/neutral races stupider, I would still think the overall difficulty should increase as you increase intelligence across
Opening screen (panels open to reveal new/load/retrieve options) acts real slow (and panel obscures part of the BETA4 text Final game score still has incorrect total score (matches military total, not sum of all totals) Good display "skin" doesn't include "selected" section (area that shows, for example, ship icon and details)
Odd...downloaded it over the weekend. Checked back today and there was a .8 meg update. Governor problem now resolved. :-) How often are new minor drops posted?
That seemed like what should work...but it doesn't. Single-clicking doesn't highlight anything (specific Governor by name or social achievement), double-clicking doesn't add anything to the queue. The only apparently active buttons are the social/military toggle and the scroll arrows through the (empty) build queue. (Side note, if I scroll past 19, the highlight bar goes off the screen but the (again, empty) list doesn't follow).
So this is where all the feedback folks hang out...the newsgroup seemed dead. In any case, after searching for something better than the user manual (wow that sounds bad...not supposed to) on how to set a governor build queue I'll ask here. I can't move/set any items in the queue either from the governor screen or planet detail screen. Is this functionality currently working? I also can't change between governors on either screen. The only active buttons on the governor screen app
