Man, that's a real bunch of junk to deal with. And, I thought what my 9 year old did was a real issue, but it seems very tame. Luckily, the school that she goes to is very proactive...maybe a bit so. Earlier this week, I got a call from the school counselor. She called because the teacher saw my daughter stick her hand down the back of her pants. When I talked to my daughter about it she said: "But..But..my butt really itched! What was I supposed to do"?</p
Pigs are also pretty darn smart. Domestic sheep, however, are completely retarded and cannot fend for themselves.
Pigs are very smart...and they have eyes that look like humans. Cows are also retarded- they've become totally domesticated. I'm not sure about this pig story. It's been around the internet, but I wonder if anyone has tried it. I mean, it's a nice analogy and all, but I wonder if there is any truth at all in it.

I, personally, don't think either of them "deserve" to be President. I don't think either of them will make a good President. The US is screwed either way. I really wish that we would have some true Republicans and Democrats running for office. McCain is borderline Democrat, and Obama is a Socialist. Neither of them fit what I want as a President.
The ends always come way, way too soon.
Ain't that the truth! I've been saying that if there is a god, that he hates my guts for some reason. Then I was telling my husband that I must have been a really bad person in a previous life, but my next life will be OK...too bad I won't know it. So, in his words of wisdom he said: "How ironic is it that we were at an animal sanctuary, you know..helping animals. And, while we are away helping ani

Mike, ToughLove, Anthony and Dr. Guy, thank you for your comments. Pets do indeed become family, and you get used to their routines. Even the things that drove you nuts about them are missed when they are gone.
Have you considered an autopsy, just so you know what happened?
I talked to the Vet., and she said that, considering her past health issues, and the way that she was when we found her, the most likely cause was a blood clot that went to her heart and stopped it immediately. We live on 2 acres, and the only neighbor that can get to our fence is one of my daughter's friends. So, foul play is probably not a factor. There was also no indication of poison

Thank you so much for the comments. She was indeed a beautiful dog, both in appearance and personality. She was a happy, gentle, soul. The dogs seem to know what happened (they saw her and were allowed to sniff and nudge her) but they seem as lost as I am right now. In the wise words of my husband: "this sucks"

I am completely an utterly heartbroken. Last night, I came home from work, had a normal evening, ate dinner, fed the dogs, put the dogs in their crates and we headed off to Sasha Farm (a farm animal sanctuary that we volunteer at). Same thing we do every Monday. Nothing different. All the dogs were their normal selves. All ate well, all acted normal, all barked and ran up the stairs when we yelled "bedtime"..well, except Roscoe- we carry him because his hind legs
Just veggies or that crappy psuedo meat?
We user Lightlife products, which are actually quite good. However, if you are a vegetarian, you don't want the meat substitutes to actually taste like meat ;p We also put all sorts of veggies, refried beans and soy sour cream on them (not into dairy that much). They are pretty tasty! Last night we had Vegan Swedish meatballs over eggless noodles, and a salad. Tonight is Vegan Chili and cornb

You're not the only granola chewing hippie, however, a lot of them have lost faith in the Democratic party. Why? It's becoming the socialist party. Republicans are moving toward being more of the old school Democrats (less government, less taxes, more freedom for the people) and the Democrats are turning socialist (more government control, more taxes, more laws). Historically, Hippies don't like the government and wish it hardly existed. it's hard to be a "Democr

Is it an iPod, or what type of MP3 player is it? What service are you using to download the music? Does the MP3 player allow formass storage transfer, or is it software dependant? I have an iPod and 2 generic MP3 players in my household. The iPod is a breeze- the other two? Not so much. But, I still won over them, s I may be able to help.

I just vote for the lesser of the two evils. I'm not sure that we will ever have a President that I agree with. The problem is that a normal, competent person can't be president. You have to be a rich suck up. I'd like a person who actually has a realistic view of most of America be President. Instead, we have people who are completely out of touch and just tell people what they think they want to hear.

Actually, there are two of them that size, and we think all the other turtles are descendants. We call the one that you see most often "Nessie".
I'm sure the people at PAX remember me. I was the rather tall guy dressed head to toe in black. I was generally followed around by guys in white armor. I'll have to do it again next year, but, alas, they'll be expecting me
You were Vader? That costume was awesome! I was the one taking pictures of you at the booth. Are you really that tall. I felt like a midget. LOL We plan to go again next year, so we'll see you there again!

Stardock has been at PAX for the last few days. On the first day, we unveiled the Gamer's Bill of rights. We have a smaller "official" version that Stardock, GPG and IronClad signed. Here is Brad Wardell signing it After he was done with his "business" appearance signing the official ones, he changed into his street clothes and signed the large one the gamer

I love making stuff from scratch. My daughter loves no-bake cookies. You can make a huge batch for not much money at all. There are so many things that are cheap if you make them yourself or at least do some of the prep yourself. If I budget, I spend about $50 a week on food. If we don't budget (which I have been doing lately because I'm lazy) we spend about $75 a week. Even though we make dinner from scratch almost every night, my husband and daughter li
