LOL about HK. I know it's terrible, but one of the big draws for us is how mean he is...
Oh, I know! The he's sooooo creative with his insults. I don't let me daughter watch that show (she's usually in bed by then, anyway) but my husband and I watch that show and crack up at all the insults. I really loved how they started this years. He knew exactly what the egos were like of the contestants before he even got them to the kitchen. [quot

Fear Factor dinner- that is awesome! I think that any way hat gets kids to eat new things is a winner. I don't know the statistic, but you have to taste the same thing several times when it is new to you to actually decide if you like it or not. I guess that's where an "acquired" taste comes into play with some things. I love Hell's Kitchen! I am so happy that the new season started! My husband always says "ugh! The risotto is salty!" every time a
My kid may be odd (well, I know she is..but I'm not sure if other kids work the same way). However, what I do is make her try one bite of whatever I made, then she can go hunt down her own dinner if she won't eat it. 1) This helps her develop her palate (and she has started eating a lot of foods that she tried 3 or more times before eating them) 2) It makes her realize that she needs to find her own food if she doesn't want to eat what is on the table. She's 9 an
Breakquest is a GREAT moderization of the 'Breakout' genre, give that demo a go!
I second that! I got addicted to that game!
When somebody makes a post (like every other forum that I have been on) they choose what category it goes into. If they choose wrong, then it ends up in the wrong spot. Just happens.
I said that I recalled Frogboy saying that only he, Karma and Zoombas were doing wall moderation. So that was why I asked seeing that Stardock employees usually start work at 8 am. And I thought perhaps it was a glitch...it happens as Zoombas just pointed out. Your reply to me was " I am not the one that moderated that wall, and Zoombas and I are not the only moderators. In your second email you said you downloaded the wall.So no, Im not saying you lied at all...but the wall was a
Furthermore, nobody yet explained why the alpha isn't distributed through SDC, are you avoiding the answer?
Do you have a short term memory issue? Do you not remember me telling you that we are switching systems and will not be running them in tandem? We're moving to Impulse. We're not going to continue to release through SDC. Why is this so hard to understand?
So, what happened when you met with the manager?
There has ben a lot of those glitches lately...now do you see why I questioned the InCOGnito wall last week?
Yes, YOU questioned it, and YOU were told that the author was free to ask about it.
So I gather that if you make a lot of noise in forum you get your walls to be visible ..but if you ask discretely ( in email ) about a rejected wall like I did last week I get told that this is not a Union...long time members do not get special treatment...an
Both are on my list of things to get done. I just need to get them in the QA schedule so that I can get them packaged up and released. So, both the Essorant packs and Apogee will be updated for Vista. However, the Apogee upgrade will not be free since it required a major overhaul to Vistafy it (remember the way the folders faced?)
Do you mind explaining why you've completely failed to address my point that there are company(ies) and individual(s) out there whom i do/don't pay for software, but they are still more dedicated and more customer focused than you are?
Well, when it comes right down to it, I really don't care how you perceive our company compared to other companies. All you have done is complain that you don't like the delivery system for the alpha. Yep, we get that yo
Our highest electric bill is in the dead of summer when using a/c, and that's a miximum of $100 for a 2,700 sq ft house. So, there are probably ways to bring down your costs. Are all your appliances electric? Electric water heaters are a huge expense. If you can convert to gas (or better yet, an on demand gas) you can make up for the expense of the appliance quite quickly. It sounds like you are already on track for cutting down on your consumption. You r
I think that people have the right to pay through the nose for gas, and we'll keep using it until there are better alternatives. A tax on a "lifestyle" vehicle (like a full ton truck or a gigantic SUV) would be a better deterent than a government limit (god, that scares the crap out of me) placed on anything.
First of all, if you work for Stardock then I'm surprised that Stardock doesn't license it from Adobe so you can get it for free. Considering that Adobe Photoshop is a very powerful product in itself then are you trying to imply that the less you pay the less you can expect in terms of updates? No, I don't buy much software. Mainly because there are freeware alternatives and because I'm not in much need to get software on a regular basis. However, if I do buy software I damn sure
How hard are they really going to try to replace him with an American citizen at that point? They've already invested much time and money on the H1B visa, and by then he will have several years' experience on the job. Seems to me that the deck is stacked severely against even the most qualified candidates at that point...
Well, I can answer that- we have posted like mad to find another GR. You know what we got? Nothing. He's a talented programmer who
I have a suggestion- how about everyone just stops with the flame wars or I dust off my exile button? This crap needs to stop, and it needs to stop now. Have people forgotten how to discuss topics? Or, have people completely lost their civility on this site?
I think cell phones are great for kids to have. Especially since first cars have a tendency to break down, and kids sometimes just need Mom and Dad to be available when needed. I rather have to deal with my daughter abusing phone privileges then to think of her in a situation that she wants to get out of and not have a phone to call me with. Man...I can wait for the teen years...
Zellio, where are you getting your LED's from? I have replaced dome lights (especially night light bulbs...use C7's that are sold for x-mas lights), but have not found many affordable LED's. I don't use many lights. We really only have two lights that are on more than a couple hours a day. Right now, both have compact fluorescents in them that have been in them over a year. I'd like to switch over to LED's though. We switched all our x-mas lights (inside
If I recall correctly, then one of Stardock support representatives said in one of the threads here that I also have a right to expect what I've paid for to work properly. How would you address that point?
If it didn't work properly for you 2 years ago, then you should have requested a refund. However, we have no guarantee that a product that you purchased 2 years ago will continue to work with current updates to OSes and drivers. WindowBlinds has had a l
The H1B program has been and will continue to be abused
Can you name government program that hasn't been? The answer is not to constrain the Visas that will be awarded, the answer is to tighten and enforce the policies around getting a Visa.
Well, the first step is to call and ask for the owner. Wait until you can talk to the owner and then tell them what happened and what you want them to do to make it right. They can't get you your hair back, but if they do extentions, then they could give you your money back and give you a break on extentions to make up the difference. Remember to tell them how much time and money (perm, coloring, etc.) that you invested into the hair that they cut off instead of giving you
