It's not "alleged" when the perp admits to the crime. I don't have to know every single detail of someone's life to see something is wrong in Wonderland. This isn't about a public execution...this is about allowing people who are sensitive to this situation our space to vent about it. We know Gid through JU. He lied to us through JU. We offered him help and support through JU. Is it so hard to believe we will vent our frustration, anger and disappointment on the same forum?[/quote
We buy the software = we sign their paychecks.
No, you buy a LICENSE to the software = you have the right to use what you purchased. That is the only right you have.
Especially if licence of OD+ is limited to one year and than you need to pay again.
No, OD+ is like any other standalone product - you pay for the released version at the point of purchase.
It's a bit like renewing your anti-virus subscription
'Insightful articles' or not, every time Stardock allows this man to log on to any of their websites they are contributing to the continued neglect of those children. Sure, he'll just find another place to blog, but so what? At least Brad and crew could wash their hands of it and know that whatever happened, they did the right thing, the responsible thing, and kicked his ass out of here for good. I've seen others exiled for far, far less. (btw, anyone seen Col Gene lately?)
</P
I think there are some misconceptions about H-1B visas being spread here: 1) Not everyone can get one. The employee has to prove credentials and the employer has to prove a case for the worker to get a Visa. 2
My, this has gotten so out of hand. Nobody needs to interact with each other on this site unless they want to. The admins on JU are not here to make judgment calls on people's personal lives. However, we are here to make sure that people remain civil and do not impede on the blogging rights of others. If you guys want to battle this out, please do so in private.
When I moderate walls, I look at some very specific technical things: 1) Does it make a good wall? 2) Are there plain areas for icons? 3) Is it technically well done. The 3rd one is the difficult one. First, the style has a lot to do with what will technically be accepted. If you are making something in 3D (versus abstract or hand drawn) you have to be very exact with lighting, edges, color use, etc. I wasn't able to find the originals on
I don't call a 72-hour response rate particularly impressive considering you're not exactly the worlds largest company and inundated with countless emails a day.
No, but we do answer our email, even if it is a bit delayed now and then during large releases or technical problems with our CRM software (we're working with the vendor to get that fixed right now). There are many software companies, especially game companies, that don't even answer email. You a
Like Elsius Saint said, these aren't the same alienware invader icons that i've seen before. Are you reamaking invader, or a new alienware suite? Or just messing with us...
hmmm...no comment. Guess you will just have to wait and see.
Ever see Earthships? They are completely off the grid and self sufficiant. http://earthship.net/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=5
Lucas lied and lied and lied some more, yet every time he's returned, admin has pretty much turned a blind eye to the abuse he's been subjected to, and rightly so.Gid has lied and lied and lied some more, yet upon his return, it has been suggested that we all just drop it and 'live and let blog.'
There is a difference. Gid wrote well constructed articles. Lucas wrote drivel and plagiarized. Remember, this IS a BLOGGING site. What did Gid do that is ag
i love it. Are those dragons 'stolen' from Molten? They look the same
They are the same dragon. Both are Stardock Design skins. The Molten version is a bit more over the top with animation, this one is a bit more medieval feeling and less animation.
Cool! But how do the program know, that I don't share it with a friend?
You have to activate Object Desktop. If we start seeing a bunch of different IP's using the same serial, then we look into it. Otherwise, you can use it on two PC's as long as you own both. Also, you can always download and reinstall as long as you have an unexpired subscription. Otherwise, you need to archive your programs to reinstall after your subscription ends.
I didn't read most of this because it's too annoying. 1) KFC- be warned. JU does NOT allow you to use a bloggers name in your article unless it is for "good". You say you don't flame people, but all you are doing is throwing stones. 2)
JU is just feeding your self pontificating addiction.
Gee, you think? It's a freakin' blog site! People come on here to BLOG, not to prove themselves to others. Yeah, we all know he screwed
That's a kown bug. Do you also have an ATI card?
I think that there have been a few people on here that wish they wouldn't have disclosed personal info on here (people can always keep blogs private if they want to write to purge, but not write for others to see). I truly hope that you, and your family, get yourselves back on track and become the family that you want to be. People make mistakes- it what you do after realizing the mistake that makes the difference.
remove dragon.tga from dragon wb folder & stop creating stupid thread.
This isn't a stupid thread, it appears to be a bug that we need to fix. Are you all also using ATI drivers? (which seems to be where the issue is...unless you guys aren't...then it's a whole different problem..)
Sounds good, it's not a very high price. I thought about buying Object Desktop, but the current version is from 2007. Would it be worth to wait for a 2008 edition?
If you buy OD now you get updates for a year, no matter when you start. Though we put year dates on them, the subscription itself is ALWAYS being updated. So, no matter what, as long as you have a subscription, you get all the latest stuff. Just as a note, 2008 subscriptions have some cha
Very well done... I like my skins simple but this one is very nice. Hope to see other skinners do some add ons for this one (ie: smx, dx, cfx etc. etc.)
Yes, please do! Just email stardockdesign at stardock . com for permission.
Nice icons, Tiggz! I can't help to see a bit of Treetog influence in them. I think you are learning well, young padawan! Now, when are you going to make ME some icons? lol
And everyone knows a pasted Toucan wallpaper is far harder to make than a "femine" windowblind.
The effort that somebody puts into something has nothing to do with quality. Vlad draws all his wallpapers by hand- he creates his own images. How do you consider that "pasted"? Also, did you compare it to other walls that were submitted around the same time? It's a very well done wall. It is original, it appeals to many people, and most of all-
has a hot guy on it
Now..that might get featured.. lol (just kidding!)
To be featured means it must really stand out quality/professionalism wise.
Exactly. Doesn't matter what the color/theme/etc. is- it just has to be really well done.
There are a lot of male and female users that like " pretty " blinds as opposed to the more masculine type blinds. That was a rather close minded point of view....
"If there is an outstanding skin (no matter who it appeals to) then it gets featured." The point is that we don't feature due to who it appeals to- we feature because of quality. Your point was to have us feature "female" content to "attract" female users. What I am saying
Oh....you have managed to push the wrong buttons with this....I am very offended by your comment about "girly crap". I do not consider my skins as "crap"! It is all a matter of taste...i personally do not like the "heavy" blinds, but i sure as hell don't consider them "crap"! They are just not my cup of tea.
I think you let your sensitivities get to you. I wasn't referring to the SUBMISSIONS as crap, I was referring to "girly" crap- as in stuff that is girly, not
You should photo manip a bow at the top. That would look cool. Nice shot! Looks like cheesecloth? A netting might give you better results as the fibers are more translucent and more predictable.
You may want to post in the support forums so that the support staff will see it.
