I have the Abit NFS-7 Motherboard, which does indeed support SATA. Hopefully this one will last me a good few years too. The hard drive is the only original part left from my first self-built PC, so it's had a good innings.

Doomgaze: Obviously you haven't been a web developer long enough. The so-called 'important' browsers all support XHTML and CSS to varying degrees, and all interpret the standards in different ways. Fireworks is just a graphics tool along the same lines as Photoshop/ImageReady, but is more focussed on creation of web graphics. I find it much easier to work with for creating detailed page elements like buttons and navigation, while I use Photoshop for working with photos and large images.

I've just bought myself a new 120Gb Maxtor Serial-ATA hard drive, because my current 30Gb Maxtor ATA100 one seems to be dying. Hopefully I'll be able to back everything up before it breathes its last and be back to skinning soon. In the meantime, the updates to metalX2 and dinksDX are on hold until I have a reliable system to work on. Not too sure what I'm going to do with all that space though...
Two very good steps in the right direction PixelCargo. Have you given Macromedia Fireworks a try? It's always been my tool of choice for detail work like web design and skinning.

Mine installs to 'Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop' too. It's perhaps best to do a clean install, even if technically CM and SDC are happy to co-exist.

Although slightly harsh in the way he put it, I think Brad's right to some extent. The primary reason for this site's creation was to fill a need for a site carrying skins, and only skins. The wallpaper section was created as a courtesy out of requests from a number of users, and ever since has been a major problem for the site. If wallpapers are moderated too much, the moderators get hassle. If wallpapers aren't moderated enough, the moderators get hassle. It's a no-win situation, and
As for the sites themselves, I think they're pretty good. The navigation is nice and clear on both, and you obviously know how to put together web pages. I'd avoid using 'canned' page elements though, such as the clock Javascript, and put more emphasis on creating your own. It's far more impressive to a client to have something unique on their site, rather than coming across other sites with elements from their own which they thought were unique.
frames = bad use css2/xhtml 1.0 strict Frames = Not bad if used well. It's all very well creating sites using the very latest standards, but not much point if no browsers support those standards correctly. You just end up with broken pages. That's something you learn when you've been a web designer for a while. It's not
In this case Tech Cat, we already know the guy ripped the icons. He's already posted them on another site and there was a long battle, fronted by Jafo, to get them removed. We've had comments from the original authors, so we know permission was never given to take the icons. In general, you're right though. Unless there's proof, which is pretty easy to come by when you're talking about ripping, then this sort of thing should be done in private.
