An explore options box for each survey ship would be what I want. It would give the feeling that you gave the survey ship captains general orders of what to do and not do. Also I would change the sector sweeps to designated paths sweeps by making a paint like program to outline a sweep path for that ship. ~SDC~

I would try SDC Tools/(Edit Stardock.net Account) and see if that info is all correct. If that is fine then try reregistering all your stuff and see if new links are made. Other then that I have no idea. It is sounding like the link form SDC to their server is nonexistant. I also wonder if you have to be registered in the meta to get updates. I know that while loged out of the GC site in general they will come through. ~SDC~

If GC and AP are inputed int SDC correctly then I would look at SDC to see if it is messed-up or needs updating. ~SDC~

I know. I have been taking a break from GC and doing the ACDG and ACpbem along with an regular game in SMAC and SMAX. The opportunities to make you think stratagy are great. If they are able to add Multi and PBEM without destroying the game GC would definatly add more people who want it. ~SDC~

Add this line to Alpha Centauri.ini file: ForceOldVoxelAlgorithm=1 And there are also no CD files out there. On GC I hope multi or pbem is in GC2 but with their talk about how smart the new AIs are I have my doubts. ~SDC~

Update Ran with V1 but when updated to V4 it conflicted with the CPU so crashed so DL a XP Patch for SMAC on 2000/xp. ~SDC~

Dont know what I did different but it is working now so off to look for updates and patches. Then comes the fun of relearning it and hunting PBEM people again. Now I have 2 games worth playing. ~SDC~

Exactly. You dont need it but it increases the fun. For right now you could work on basic stratagies and then after getting AP work on modifications. There are also many mods available in the library that may suit you fancy. ~SDC~

To solve this I would propose that in the game set-up where we choose the races to play in the game we have the option to make the Race Multi. If one race is Multi then the game must be done online. If not then it stays the way it is. This way we get the two worlds. The problem is can it be done. ~SDC~

My first thought is the file is corrupted. I would find an editor that will read it then save it as a totally different file. ~SDC~

I turned of my auto but still have had one crash (not shure why though). I have also herd that it could be a sound /movie file messed up and carie has it fixed but not released yet. As mentioned turn off the auto and maybe sound and have fun till the fix is released. ~SDC~

I have read that it is the sound and a temp fix is to turn off the auto save. the auto to off helped lots but got a CTD happen still so will try turning off the sound and hope till the new release. ~SDC~
