BTW I am not saying the AI is dumb (i know i said it but thats not what I meant). AI in GalCiv is much better than in any game I have seen. You have done an awesome job and I absolutely love the game. I also like the idea of updating the AI with strategies used by the best players. Lol, I havent filed my score to the metaverse yet because i havent played one game to the end yet. Also the top ppl there (at least the majority of them) played on large or gigantic maps. I dont know how the score is calculated by I guess the size of the galaxy plays an important part. I also read somewhere that to play on gigantic or large map you need a relatively poweful computer. I have a P3 600 Mhz laptop (dont think its powerful enough). Besides I generally dislike playing on huge maps sin
I just dont understand. From reading Brads games i got an impression the AI was tough...Well my AI is dumb. I am having my forth game now, having easily won the first three on sub-normal/normal settings. Now i am playing medium map with AI set to intelligent...but damn...there wasnt even a small period of time when AI took the lead of me. I dont know guys...I am playing my fourth game now with AI set to intellegent on a medium map. Well, its just way too easy. I am (again) the most powerful and wealthy race. This is a bit annoying since i expected a challenge (maybe i will try intellegent AI on huge galaxy next time). The way i do it is i trade tech a lot. I end up having 100% gov expenditure while at the same time running a huge budget surplus. I am sure this game is gonna get very hard but i havent encoutered that yet... :( <br
Maybe you had good v evil issue. If you were good they were evil then its all over for you (or vice versa). The fact that they were your friends for a very long time doeasnt mean much. Relations can cool off just as easily. PS: I remember Brad saying that they took the strategies of the best players and implemented them into AI engine. Tis has been mentioned before but i thought it was a one off case: Trade Goods - it says that as soon as someone builds a trade good (e.g. Frictionless Clothes or whatever) no other race is allowed to build it...but in the game i am playing now the Yor has already built 2 types of goods that were previosly built by me. I thought this was a simple error but when i talked to them the option of giving them the goods they (and I built) was gone...I think this is because the AI fails to swap

Just a quick question: Whar r the benefits of reaching advanced and high level of espionage??? After reaching low and medium level i could see some obvious benefits like basic stats about the alien civ, but i just cant find any reasons of going any further than that... I am using broad band, but the speed of the download didnt go beyong 20k/sec, yet i managed to download the core game successfully. Doing same to multimedia now. My download did get interrupted with an error message a couple of times. All you need to do is click download button again and it will resume from where it left off. -TLA-Russian

I simply hit dowload button. Didnt do any 'right click and archive' thing. BTW my download has finished (the core game) and now i am downloading multimedia stuff. I have read somewhere that the downloaded percertage goes beyong 100%. It didnt happen to me, as soon as the dowload was complete the files got automatically unziped (or installed or whatever it did). So all i did was clicked yes when it asked if i wanted to play the game. I dodnt know why it didnt go beynd 100% maybe because

I am using broadband and i have installed stardockcentralrc1. Half way through the dowload it gave and error message. The same happened with mulimedia download. However the resume function is working properly so i am back to dowloading and it looks like its working fine now. :) But is this SC version the one i should be using or there is a better one? -TLA-Russian
I have broadband but the download is pretty slow and very volatile...At one point in runs at 30k/sec then the next second falls down to 500b/sec :( Actually, I better check if my flat mates arent dowloading any "movies". -TLA-Russian
