The last hard copy game I got was in 2011 with Skyrim. I haven’t missed them. I’m also 31 so buying games digitally just seems normal not having a hard copy just seems normal. I’ve had hard copies but I actually prefer digital because the disc doesn’t get scratched. Hell the new computer I built doesn’t even have a disk drive. Also terminating leases to games seems like a great way to deliver a probably fatal blow to your storefront and if you invested tons

The Col rush phase of this feels so much worse than 3. I am desperate to lock down possible core worlds before the AI and my sector started with three AI and myself I missed one by one turn. I know the idea is to reduce micromanagement but I’m feeling really pressured. In three if I lost a world to the AI there were others to settle even if it was a class 25 beautiful world it didn’t make me consider rerolling. I really like an exploration phase and I&rsq

I’d wager that regardless of how good of a platform epic was there would be people hating and those people hating they’d be the loudest. I got epic for this game. Didn’t have it before that most likely never woulda got it. Epic game me a free game and a 10 dollar off coupon. I’ll grab my pitchfork those MFers giving me free stuff and a coupon. Also remember Steam takes 30% of the sale price epic takes 12%. “Well why aren’t games ch

I think players would feel forced to use tactical combat which would really really bog down the game. I think of AoW 3 tactical combat is an option and I’ve finished maybe like 5 games of it, also in multiplayer it’s just undoable. I just sit there and wait while my friend engages in combat I can’t see. I’ve never completed a multiplayer AoW game and while multiplayer isn’t a strong focus of this game. Some of my fondest gaming memories is me and my buddies casua

I would at least change the prompt that ask you if you want to assign the governor it tells you want planet you are about to assign him to. I got a lot of small colonies and it makes me nervous when I’m placing them.

I had the same event pop about 10 times in 15 turns for the nature league I kept saying no because I had no colonization targets but it just kept popping up. Is this suppose to happen? Also when the AI ask me to go to war with one another there are things listed that it will do if I say yes or no like when you colonize planet or get an anomaly. Like gain items or such is just correct or just a tooltip glitch? Lastly some improvements are show to be built on worlds that are ful

I had something similar happen it was one of the few core worlds I found and was so happy and before I got a ship there it was taken. I was playing gigantic with 7 total players and found one by turn 30. And option to make everyone start in their own sector would really really be appreciated if there were if enough sectors and a low enough AI count so that you could an unrushed exploration phase if a player wanted to have that. individual colonies didn’t s

I got it on Epic first time I have ever used epic. If they go belly up that’s like two drinks at a concert. However with all their hilarious amount of fortnight money it seems unlikely. Steam takes 30% and doesn’t give a flying F Epic takes 12% and I would assume is trying to be helpful ( seems unlikely that they are but I don’t know ) Also no reviews on epic and since people are freaking idiots and would probably leave a bunch of negat

From what I understand their are no sponsors to shipyards. Each core world can make or has one unsure at this point if you need to build it. I was going to make a post about the ability to toggle off space monsters and precursors. Glad to see the ability to turn off pirates. I know they wanted to make the galaxy and exploring feel more dangerous and I think they have been very successful at that.

I really like the direction citizens are going. However I too echo the sentiment that it won’t feel that I am shepherding an empire but controlling a bunch of characters. Not having a population feels weird to me. Maybe I am just struck in the past.

I would hope that once 4 releases they would make a complete version of three so we could get new people into the series. I enjoyed playing through a living game but I bought the expansions one at a time with some dlc here and there it released. Asking my buddy to drop over 120 for the game is kinda a hard sell.

Does anyone play cooperatively with a friend Vs AI? I have a friend I game Civ 5 with and we got like over 1000 hours and I would love to get him into this game but I haven’t heard promising things about multiplayer. Does anyone have a working experience?

Other than placement of components I never designed a ship for anything other than functionality. I enjoy thinking of what kind of ship I need against different opponents. I’m glad to see what type of ship you build will continue to be something you can design if you want to. I am also very glad that their will be a retreat option. I enjoyed the government aspect of intrigue. I wish desperately that the colony limits where calculated by number of habita

Is their anyways we could add the ability toggle a planet to have a different tax rates than others. From a gameplay perspective this would be incredibly useful for managing biological life. I don’t know how feasible or difficult this would be. I would find it extremely useful.

In GC2 every planet unless it had an event that made it special was built the same way. In three you had to think about what a planet was gonna do based on how the tiles looked and what bonuses where there. It added something to the game IMO, but of course it could be overwhelming at times. We should remember the number of planets under direct control are suppose to be less in this game. We won’t be planning the building lay out for +150 planets but only core worlds. I think adj

I am really glad they made it so planets don’t auto upgrade by default and that you have to toggle it on always screwed me with synthetics. I just avoided the advanced manufacturing technologies. So I wouldn’t run out of damn durantium.

I don’t think the resource systems need to completely be reworked I think colonization of subpar planets for essential resources adds a dynamic to the game. However when there isn’t enough of something in the galaxy and the is literally no way to get any and you can’t work around it that is some bull. I’ve abandoned games that I consider stuck or needing to take an extra 300 turns to finish. I think the way around this is to include missions types for every resource. T
