I could never get into AoW 3 it was a little slow for me the combat. And playing multiplayer was just ......... not doable for us. Civ 5 strikes a balance with us taking our turns at the same time. We play coop vs AI. I am hoping to get my friend into this game. I hope some consider is taken for people who play 4X games cooperatively I know there isn’t a large amount of us but there is something fun about ruling the world / galaxy with your buddy in a game you invest a few weeks into.</

I almost never watch the battles. So I’m indifferent except the thought that updating and changing this will cost development time and then if implemented will consume PC resources. I don’t think trade needs to be changed how it works. I think it works well. I wholeheartedly agree trade routes need to be readjusted their income is beyond pitiful normal trade routes shouldn’t be something you can just straight ignore with every empire. It

The galaxies are big I don’t know if adding depth is going to be manageable. The largest maps already stress some impressive systems. I don’t think adding another dimension should really be what they focus resources on. Also I would be against wrap around galaxies. It doesn’t make sense for a logically not that a video game has too but I am opposed. I am in favor of an extremely late game tech called worm hole founding technol

I don’t know about buildings changing cost based on galaxy creation. I would prefer more balanced galaxies and for the love of god missions for every resource type so at least you can use production to acquire scant resources. I have also voiced my support for a secondary market a black market with overly inflated prices but endless supply. With cost either 4 or 10 times the amount of the regular market so that people won’t use it unless they have to. I&r

I think carriers should exist. They should just be late game units that are very expensive to field. They should only be able to be built in the largest hull size. Also they need to be kinda like Starcraft carriers where when interceptors are destroyed they needed to be rebuilt. It would make small planets with limited manufacturing into small fighter producers. It would also make it so for your fighters to have the latest and greatest you have to upgrade them. I haven’t u

Before he upgraded he was in your administration pool which gives you one administrator after he retired he is no longer in the pool so you gain 5 administrators but lose one from the pool. However now you can put another administrator into the pool. convoluted for sure I didn’t get it at first either can’t remember if someone explained it or if I eventually figured it out.

The technology is there if you play the measured. It isn’t there if you select the ability and are playing synthetic. I didn’t test carbon based life and silicone based life.

So my brother had to wipe his computer and I had to remake my synthetic race. I tried something a little different and went bureaucratic since wanted more administrators. Well I went to look for the new tech tree I would have access too. And lo and behold nothing is there. I thought maybe I was overlooking it so I loaded up the measured to see if I could see it there. Easily found the techs. Reloaded my synthetic game and it doesn’t branch off any of their techs so it can’

Synthetic player here. Be good even if you are really evil. The ideology that gives colony ships +2 population is amazing. I don’t really kick off my expansion until that point. also at the start if you have two worlds and one is a class 7 and one is a class 12 settle the seven first for your first world it will pop the “first world settled thing” and that is the only event you can get for the first world you col

Again really excited for this about the resource fixes but I really hope there is a buildable improvement for non carbon based races for administrators. something like the first one cost .6 Of all ship used resources next one is .8 or something. Food won’t work and having it be a flat resource is probably overpowered. So maybe a scaling on is the way to go.

These look like excellent changes. Please info us that there is administration center included synthetic and silicone based life I am ok with it costing food or durantium or something. after playing a bunch of GalCiv 2 In Asia on an underpowered laptop I’m ready to take the murderous machines on a killing binge in 4.0.

Population won’t grow if you are synthetic you have to build it. And depending on map generation you can be straight up fucked if there isn’t enough durantium. Remember to trade for it with the AI they will easily trade away about 10% of their total stockpile of a resource for pennies on the dollar.

Another strong tip is no matter who you will “Be” you start good in the ideology tree until you unlock the colonies start with 2 extra population it is a damn must imo. Allows you to send your ships only 1/3rd full keeping your population working and growing at home. Of course then they new worlds will have morale problems and not be growing but all that free population is just to powerful to pass up. For carbon, definitely for synthetic, and I’ll assume aquatic and silicone

Bioshock remastered. Was an absolute blast to play through again and unlock the achievements. Just finished Survivor difficultly with no vitachambers. Remains my counterpoint when people say video games aren’t art. If you have never played it before you are missing out. most disappointing was civ 6, I doubt it was the worse game.I just didn’t like it and I hate that damn art style. There are some good elements in there but they don’t out weigh the negative

Big maps. The computer on small maps is super aggressive and damn quick. If your computer can handle it the bigger the map the better. I don’t like to see an AI till turn 75 to 100. I played on the second largest map with only 7 opponents otherwise my computer starts to trip out at the late game. This allows for some empire building also the computer normally won’t declare while expanding or if they can’t reach you. Also while learning there is no reason not to turn the diff

The key difference between market and black market is the complete removal of scarcity which can handicap you late game. I can use the market just fine but when there is no durantium on the whole damn map my game grinds to a halt. I have limitless resources in all other categories but I can’t build enough damn legions to finish the game. Still have not won a conquest victory. The black market prices would be much higher than the market so high it wouldn’t make sense to use

I’m not sure if it should be up in the air who is gonna win at turn 400 now upsets should still be able to happen but things should also be placed in so that once you get to critical mass the game doesn’t drag on forever. IE black market to buy scarce resources at hyper inflated prices so you can build the legions you need to finish the damn game instead of giving up and getting a tech victory after your push grinds to a halt due to lack of legions.

No without mods some of the resources can be locked out. We have asked numerous times and given suggestions. Black market ..... missions for every resource there is apparently no will to fix this which is very disappointing. You either mod or risk being completely fucked. Why this is acceptable I don’t know. It is very disappointing and probably the reason I haven’t finished a game in a long time. When you learn on turn 250 you are kinda fucked by lack of resources you lose the de
