FWIW, I've narrowed this down a little more... My reported problem appears on my main PC which is a Toshiba Tecra M2 laptop which during business hours is connected to an external KB & monitor via a docking station. While in this configuration, with the display adapter set to 'Analog Monitor' i.e the external screen and the 'digital display' i.e the laptop's flat panel screen is switched off, then I get the system tray problem. If the laptop is run standalone i.e using it's fla
Just about to edit my reply but, yes, Cavan1 is correct...
As of version 1.5.024 the answer is.... YES!
The wife wanted to update her PS2 to a PS3 Does she have a sister?
Hmmm in my case it does it the 'old' way (i.e all tabs are changed) unless you specifically tick the box: 'allow each tab to have it's own style'.
i just copied my changed boot.ini & whenever i have to reinstall xp i simply copy this to original boot.ini & bootskin works perfectly. Can you maybe please show your boot.ini file somewhere? Do you get just a static bootscreen or dows it have the animated progress bar included? <a href="https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcen
Ok, just updated to 1.50.024 and the situation is still the same. Seems to be quite a few new threads with similar issues... Clues? Anybody? Bueller?
Try the stand-alone MCP install: WWW Link Just re-installed this and it didn't fix the issue. There's one more icon I forgot: Microsoft ActiveSync. Having said the above, it seems to be a little random as to which icons will display on any given reboot. For example just now after restarting following the standalone install
OK, here's the list - BTW the PC is a Toshiba Tecra M2, WNIXP pro w/- all updates. These are visible Toshiba Dual Pointing Device Nokia PC suite InfoProcess Antihook Intel Wireless Proset Utility Battery Status Ethernet NIC Wireless NIC These are not visible ObjectDock+ WordWeb Daemon Virtual DVD Avira AntiVir Microsoft Defender This one won't show up at all. OK, will do. Prior to doing this I thought I'd report the following troubleshooting steps I attempted already, bearing in mind only *some* of the tray icons are missing not all (?!) i.e about 6 icons showing instead of 10-12. Using SDC, disabled 'MCP notification area support' (MCP smart startup was already disabled). Note that when I did this & dismissed the dialog, all the tray icons returned! Closed SDC & rebooted. On restart no icons at all showing (to be expected since MCP
Can confirm the zooming works properly now works for right/left aligned docks. However, regarding the system tray dock, it seems to be working, but I don't see all of the icons that should normally be there. Taskmanager shows me that they are running, but their icons aren't in the tray. This doesn't change if I unload OD+ i.e the problem is still there. I'll try disabling MCP and see if that makes a difference... <a href="https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/" t
Can I slip in another couple of quirks I just discovered (seeing as I've got your attention now )? I have a non-tabbed systray dock on the bottom-right-aligned edge of screen. Quirk #1: Using (for example) the Apollo background which has additional graphic elements on the left & right ends that extend past the icon boundaries, the end which is in the corner (bottom right in my case) is not o
Good news, I've just slipped this feature in Sorry Jeff, I can't find it! I assume you mean the dialog under 'General->Advanced'? OD+ 1.49[b].004
Ummm, that's actually been there for quite some time!
my docklets are gone with only question marks in their place Are they large blue question marks by chance? If so then these are SysStats docklets and it could be that the SysStats install had somehow died. I recommend getting the latest version here: http://sysstats.jools.net/Code/download.php or here: http://www.dockex.com/items/38/down
FWIW, still getting 'phantom' icons (network adapters) in the system tray. OK, this might be more an issue with SDMCP rather than OD+ but thought I'd throw it out there anyway...
it worked then it flashed a Blue Screen of Death and restarted. FWIW... This particular behaviour is depends on how your crash recovery settings are setup. These can be found in System Properties (rightclick 'My Computer' or in Control Panel->System)->Advanced->Startup & Recovery. Yours is probably set to automaticlly restart...<br/
I am trying to choose a language for making software on windows. It's not usually the language (or more correctly the Syntax) that's the hard part to learn... it's usually getting your mind around all of the available functions i.e what they do, how to call them, which one to use and when etc, etc. This is in-turn dependant on the operating envir
It's impossible to create shortcut in objectdock with agruments command line. No it's not... Rightclick on the icon (once it's on the dock) and select 'Dock Entry Properties' and right there is an 'Arguments' text box. I'm using it and it works. <a href="https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/" title="Posted via S
Bichur was being a p3n15 Sorry, can't let that go... Bichur is one of the more helpful members here and looking at his reply to you I don't see any justification for your comment above. I believe an apology is in order here. For someone who's got a long history with SD you don't seem to show much maturity or patience. <a href="h
How was OD installed on the tablet? If it was a copy of the desktop install you may not have copied all the necessary files/folders. There's also config info in some hidden 'documents & settings\[username]\local settings\application data\stardock' folder that may have to be copied also. Other than that, you just might have to go into 'dock settings->Tabs & Styles' & select a background (?) <a href="https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/" title="Posted via Stardock Central
I think its the obejectdock tray one Simple fix: buy OD+ !
Just tried it today also, and confirmed not working also. I have a link direct to my personal page that reports "Service Unavailable" and if I go to the WC mainpage and try to login it says: "Invalid Email Address or Password". [Edit] Just asked the site to send me my password (which arrive
