Allot of people on the Astral tournament folders said it was inspired by magic the gathering. While I never played MTG much I like the way AT has a unit to unit engagement instead of simply attacking the enemy wizard. MOO 3 forum.
I've been longing for some good simulation gameplay but not realistic flight simulator. More on the borderline between realism and unrealism. but still simulation you know? Like good old freespace 2 or mechwarrior type realism / unrealism.. Anyone know any other good games that'd fit this sort of genre? I bought Tachyon which was kinda cool.. Starlancer which I did not enjoy.. I guess i'm looking for a good game to buy along those genres but annoyingly I can't find any.. Any tho
12 ship fleet for an ultimate empire? I normally ended up with 60 + doomstars by the end of a victory on a huge galaxy... actually once I had 155 doomstars on a tiny class galaxy ::laugh:: Oh boy i'm going to have to install that now.. Now you have done it!!
Hmm, Actually if you look at gamespot game reviews man. a 6.7 is a pretty horrible game. I very rarely buy a game unless its in the 8.0 + range.

P4? Bah. I'm not going to turn this into a hardware war but I like to support the competition. I've got a trio of athlons at my house two 1600's and my own 1900... Without competition those pentiums would cost you an arm and a leg.
No, think a mobile colony thats self sufficient and a production base. The ability to build a planet thats a mobile field base.. Like a terror star but able to produce ships and hold population. Yes this would cost a terrible amount to construct.
I was reading about the idea of a mothership as a last surviving colony ship type deal.. and I kind of feel this was homeworld inspired but let me toss something out to perhaps expand on this. What if this could be a buildable colony that would actually act as a mobile planet? The cost for something this big would probably be absurb. maybe more than a terror star but having a mobile manufacturing center might be interesting. Maybe it can pick up resources of some sort to use fo
In terms of effectiveness is it more effective to stack fleets or engage individually? Let me give you an example of a fight.. Say 3 ships. I do not know the classes involved but we'll say 3 ships of identical class and hit points encounter 3 more ships which are in a fleet. but the 3 other ships decide to flank and engage at multiple angles.. Who has the upper hand?
I'm all for this myself. I'm always a fight to the last type of person and don't like to quit just because I know i'll likely lose. I like the hard fight. Though I have studied history a bit by the way and in the case of a true cultural domination I don't think the majority of the people would want to go back to the old ways.. At least thats my thoughts.

Well ever since I found out about this game and the company thats making it and its business practices I feel really happy about this game as a whole. But I feel like going over point by point cause I don't have much to go on right now. Video.. FMV's actually look pretty decent. Certainly nothing spectacular.. But they look great and fit the part better than what i've seen in any other space based game of late. they add mood. Sometimes in moo2 I liked

If I wanted to would it be possible to buy the game but. get no box and cd? I think it'd improve yalls profit margins a wee bit. Personally I would like to help support you guys in a small way .. (Small as in saving you 2-4 dollars or whatever it costs you for the box.) Cause I will be downloading the game a soon as I buy it on the first minute of the day its released if I can LOL.. I don't think i'll care too much about the box / cd. Thoughts, C

Wow Frogboy. I do want to say this. I admire your quick response. As much time as I spent on the forums on moo3 no devs gave me such a quick response and thankyou. This is one game I definatly wanna own. I spent a long time yesterday on gamespot looking at all the 100 + screen shots heh :).

I just read about this and I have an urge to play it today is there any way I could buy now and get the latest beta? I was going to go out and buy moo3 today but the game just seems to suck unfortunately i think i'm going to pass on it.
