As the first post I get the same message. I purchased Drengin and Object desktop and the registration info shows up fine under Edit Accounts. I just seem to not being able to update through SDC. Drengin manager and Object Desktop Component Manager work fine for updates. The suggestion Edit Stardock.net account is no option because it doesn't show up at all under Tools > Edit Accounts. Any suggestions? ~SDC~

Humor :D or Sad :sniff!: If you DL a pirated version that doesn't work, even if this game is NOT copy protected, what can you say? Besides of course PAY for the game. ;)

And you can put the box next to the one you got when buying MOO3, to constantly remind you about the differences in marketing approach: shipping an unfinished and unbalanced game versus shipping a very well tested and upgraded game, at the same time being able to directly dl a bonuspack as an appreciation for the fact you indeed paid for the game. :D. Thanks to SuperBrad, colleaques and BETA testers.

SEIV has many mods based on famous TV Series like Startrek (original and Next Generation), Babylon 5 etc. Of course people like it to have mods based upon these SF universes and their characters. So I don't see any reason why there would be a problem for Galciv.

WHERE do you live, sivlardemalle? For Belgium it's FRANCE to the South, GERMANY to the East, UK to the WEST and NETHERLANDS (and SWEDEN amongst others) to the NORTH. Had a bit too many of those great Belgian Beers? :)

One Euro is appr. the same as One US Dollar. Adn towards the English language: Here in The Netherlands we start learning at least one foreign language in school at the age of 9. In Higher Schools you HAVE to learn at least 3. Most youngers choose of course English as their first learning objective, English is the only true World language, isn't it? ;)

I bought Drengin, and you get a serial number to register. When this is done, you can dl all available games and additional released modules. DL means the games will be installed on your computer finally. I didn't see you also get a physical copy. But your serial number can be used on an other computer in case you have to re-install it. You can also uninstall the games and later reinstall them. After the first year you can renew the subscription for a month or a year, whatever you choose, at a l

Brad announced that you also can dl SDC from the galciv site as from the date of release of Galciv, so the 26th. If you want to be sure to play the game on date of release you either buy it through Stardock or buy Drengin. Than you can immediately DL the game at that date. Specially if you live outside the US this is a nice option. Drengin is more expensive but you get alot more than only galciv as well as a one year free subscription on updates, new releases etc. I recommend buying Drengin, I d

Wonderful idea. Specialy because in the Gold version you can set AI strenght in more ways than in the beta. It is something like playing chess and picking someone your size and when you get better, you choose a stronger opponent. This way the game will for ever be a challenge. Great work, Brad!

Well, like in the real world, we want to be conquerers but it IS nice to know in advance if we can kick ass ;) Unless they are cloaked of course. What I should immediately after I had researched it. Nothing better than a good surprise for those who want to take MY EMPIRE. :D

Yep, 56K would be a problem for DL multimedia, the multimedia file that was available on Drengin before they shut down the beta DL was how much again (150 Megs or so). But it's nice the Bonus Pack will only take them up to two hours to DL.

As you can read in my posts, I like Random Events to be going two ways: you can loose something or gain something. Alternative for Space Monsters: Dice Roll: You win, a Space Monster transforms in One Very Strong Ship, if you loose it eats one of your planets (but this planet can be clonised again)

Holy Grail: The Water of Life has been found: Do you want to use it, Yes or No? Neutral Empires accept: Cultural influence rises 10%, research drops 10%. If declined: Unrest level + 10%, Trade Income +10%. Good Empires accept: population + 10%, Unrest Level +10% If declined: populat

For Better or for Worse: dice roll for all empires in the same turn: If you win you get current Research Project instantly, if you loose you loose one researched project. Or: If you win empire money +50 %, if you loose - 50%. Or: if you win Unrest level drops 50%, if you loose +50%. Etc.

Transdimensional Invasion: affects all empires, they form an alliance against an invader from another dimension. The invaders are beaten, but at some cost and gain: Universal boom of research (everybody tries to find better weapons, ships etc) all races gain instanly current research project), Planet resources and capital reduced by 25%, Planets unrest level reduced to zero (everybody wants to fight the invaders),20% of all ships lost in combat, 5% of populated worlds destroyed by invaders (but

SE4 to my opinion was the best 4X game released so far, but Galciv will be taking over this position with the Gold release, I'm sure. SE4 allows to play gigantic universes (limit is 255 Starsystems! with several planets per system), but I have to agree it get's boring playing these immense universes because it takes so long before something interesting happens. Both games are TB (thank God for that!).In Galciv (beta) almost every turn something happens, because surveying will lead to whatever di

The subscription is valid for one whole year, there are already several other games included to DL. On the 26th you can indeed DL the Gold version of Galciv as well as the bonus pack. Everything released in the subscription year is included also. After that year you can renew at a lower monthly or yearly subscription price.

So far only Amazon US offers the game. But it's true in the UK box there is a galciv flyer. The flyer refers to www.galciv.com and mentions: Available Everywhere March 26.

Wonder why nobody has MOO3 #1? ;) 1. Space Empires 4 2. MOO2 3. Championship Manager 01/02 4. HOM3 I think Galciv will at least compete with the # 1 place, based on how much I like the beta. And yes, I will give MOO3 a try, just today received my copy (UK version released on March 7), including an installed mod from the MOO3 forums. We'll see if it can compete.
