just a tip you can press Ctrl Shift and C this turns off cursor FX without having to do the whole Ctrl Alt Delete thing... I've had to disable it many time... and in your situation it should work in pinch... just till you get an answer from stardock ;)
looks like I'm buying my own renewal again this year.... [e digicons]:'([/e] lol
The Tabs on top bug issues have been around since 1.5
I thought I was the only one having that problem ;P
They must hate OD+ the most popular program they have. They treat it like EA treated SimCity with little respect the way I see it.
I've never had any issues with any of the sim city games, and I've played them all... (still SC2000 Dos version running under dos box)
On Vista the tiltebars are skinned, on XP not.
that makes perfect sense...
da_zman, your title bars are skinned? I'd be quite happy with that. My Office 2007 title bars (Outlook Word, etc.) are totally unaffected by WB skins. And none of the Office apps have any per-application exceptions...
you should get Open Office, I have both, but still only use the open office... it gets skinned lol....
omg the trolls are taking over...
the title bars should be skinned, that's how are they are on my system... but nothing else...
Star Trek Elite Force II... and Unreal Tournament 3...
i had the same prob... it's because I was using a screensaver that used 3d acceleration... it was very odd... no problem with my video games... but hey...just switched to another screensaver, and never had the problem again... hope this helps... maybe it can help narrow down your problem...
Stardock never fixes OD+ any way 2.0 is not coming anytime soon. Windows 7 taskbar is od+ 2.0
that is a bunch of jarbled nonsense... no offense, but what the heck are trying to say.... Windows 7's taskbar is nothing like object dock, all it does is combine things into categories... object dock, adds as many docks as you want. tabbed, or not tabbed all over the screen.... not the same thing... and Impulse it better than an update but
Norton`s newest Ghost software package is one of the most bloated and weavelling (! i.e. burrowing, embedding) bits of code I have seen. This is Norton`s standard, so I wouldn`t be hopeful about other packages they produce. Ghost served its purpose and is now exorcised & banished to the box, away from my system... That simply for a tool that copies drive data bit for bit.
now that's too bad... I games my system... so that would ruin them I'
already changed mine... went back to Sirus... I always go back to Sirus.... but hey... maybe there's a new years skin....
until then you could use a program called Microangelo... I used to use that back in the day... before Icondevoper even existed... they have a 30 day trial at their website... may at least get you taken care of for now... ;)
Therein lies the problem, I think.WindowBlinds changes the mode to Windows Standard when applied
I've been testing it lately and if you run a windowblinds theme, imediatly after applying aero UXMS runs, but it if you do so after applying windows classic or vista basic it is gone, so from what I've noticed he should be fine... but i'll keep my fingers crossed ;)
now what you need to do is go into your display properties, and the section where you would set the system colors... select advanced properties, and the you have a choice of windows classic, vista basic, or aero... you want to select aero the way to tell if Aero is already running is to look at your title bars, if they are transparent you are running aero, and that's not your problem, if they aren't transparent you've found your problem... l
Thank you. That worked perfectly. But how do I Load the windows blinds again? Or will the two not work together? Thanks again. I was about to give up.
this I can answer just lol open the program for the icon... and select whatever skin you want... windowblinds will know what to do now... I've been helping other people with similar problems, and once you have the dwm running, it really doesn't matter... but try to run WB6, and Vista
Vista Home Basic does come with a cut down DWM (no flip3d or blur) and a cut down Aero theme.
ah.. i see...
Vista basic and I don't think I Have Aero.
then you don't have DWM... dwm doesn't run on vista basic.... you have to have aero....
I don't get the two posts thing... do we need to help you twice now? [e digicons]:fuzzy:[/e] Making two posts seems quite illogical....
are you running any customization software like windowblinds or anything? that makes a difference, if you are running Aero, the title bars have to be transparent or it's not running... if you are running the basic vista theme, and not the aero DWM won't run... a sure way to see if it is running press the win key, and tab, it should do the window flip thing.... if it doesn't do that, it's not running....
yes if you switch back to Aero will be running again, provided that you see it to Aero, and make sure the title bars are Transparent, then if using windowblinds switch to whichever blind you want, and you should be fine.... good advice Anne
Frikkin KKK is totally useless.
I would say they are out of business, especially with Obama becoming president ;) but hey I've always looked at this way, it's not white people or black people that matter to our government(sorry but true) it rich people or poor people.... and the rich are the ones they are looking out for...
