Other races will bully you if you don't have a standing military. You can either wait till they do and then lease some ships, or build a few here and there to keep yourself up to their level. Also if you can get the military resources you can increase the power of your ships dramatically! One game I was still building Battle Cruisers and they could beat dreadnaughts and avatars at the end of the game... because I had 2 maxed out military resources. I won ;) ~SDC~

No, the ship that you have selected in you're fleet(it shows in the lower-right of the main map the ship name and stats) targets the most powerfull ship in the enemy fleet first, and you work down. Transports, constructers, and colony ships are at the bottom of the totem pole. :)

On second thought I think you're right Priest... to keep the scoring consistant they probably should allow only scores with no mods... the way the Stardock guys are though it may very well be that if a mod is 'good' enough and doesn't throw the game out of balance it may be included as part of a future 'official' update.

I don't know if there is any policy right now, but I would suspect(hope) at some point that only mods in the library(and hence approved by Stardock) will be allowed. Either that or no mods would be my preference... on the other hand I think the AI's have access to all the features you do in a true mod(ie. not a 50000+ BC trainer) It's a good question! ;) ~SDC~

This may have been mentioned already, or I might not know how to do it, but I don't see any way to ask or demand that a race dissolve an alliance with another race. I would like to see a 'break alliance' suggestion in the diplomacy screen. There are many times that I would like to 'bribe' a race, so that I can take-out another race without them going to war with me as well. Thanks.

Hey everyone. I just played a game where the UP passed a rule to give transports the +10 attack for 3 years. It does show up on a transports details, and they can attack other ships, but they cannot attack ships in orbit. I didn't know if this was intended or not, but it really sucked because I was going to take out a Drengin system that had 3 26 planets in it! Thanks.

Okay let's see: 1) In the diplomacy screen there are three buttons in the middle, these will show you info on how you are interacting with that race. 2) As far as I know you can only see you're score when the game is complete. 3) There is a button in the upper right hand corner of the main map screen that will display the influences of all races in the sector you have centered on the screen. Have fun :)
