Oooo, I like the jammer idea.
TheRealWarpstorm
I can't resist using this blatant exploit. (or program the AI to build them too - I wouldn't feel guilty then)
I just buy them
Then why are houses still being built with fireplaces? But how many people use an old tech fireplace for actually heating their house (As opposed to a quaint decorative addition that they fire up occasionally for a romantic evening). (I have a new-fangled wood furnace that I use for heatin
Well, if you aren't researching technology early you will lag behind. In addition, balanced research isn't really the best approach. Well rounded means you have no sharp pointy edges to hurt others with.
It appears that it is actually lowering it. By progression it should be a 65 or so.
I often trade for influence starbases from the majors (this is a weakish exploit), but I think you are correct about the minors.
A half a gig of RAM isn't much (it is the bare minimum you want for an XP system). You may want to increase that as well as increasing your vritual memory.
Me too. I gave the Dark Yor enough carefully crafted units that they could have taken out one of my "friends" that they were at war with and they just sat there.
I had the war tax event for 15 BCs a month. I wiped out the Drengi which should have ended the tax, but I still have it. SInce the Drengi are no more, I can't end the war.
No lights here on a GF 66000
Unless you are evil...
you can if it's in a different sector.. Ah, that explains it. They put an inluence base by my influence with only one space between them, but they are in a different sector.
I'm not sure about that, par.002, but I've seen the placement.
After seeing the AI buy an influence starbase from another, I got to thinking, how to exploit this...yup, once the influence wars got going I bought out his influence bases. Ouch. I haven't moved up to intelligent, but it works at lower difficulties.
AI cheating on placement of starbases. I get the message that I can't put them within 3 spaces of another, but I've seen the AI do just that.
I looked but I don't see this option on the GUI.
Nine Rangers in one game, woot! It's a shame there's nobody to war with this go 'round.
If you could fit the gun on in the first place you should have. Since you need to miniturize all parts of your ship to fit the new gun in...
In the fantasy game, every timeI play I get the exact same set of voter priorities. While they are different from the standard ones this defeats the purpose of "random" priorities.
I lost a game big time because of the Fundies :sniff!: Took all of my good systems. Claimed I was Evil. I wasn't. Really. Well, maybe a little. OK, maybe a lot. OK, was Pure Evil Incarnate.
Nearly all of my random non-colonization events (good or bad) are in the Sol system. Maybe there's a bug happening.
I agree there should be a modifier for difficulty. In addition, there should be a bonus for some of the peaceful modes of winning. A cultural victory where you don't fight at all will get you a much lower score than one where you goes for conquest.
That's strange, I usually go for the Population+ bonuses whenever I can.
Not taking any scores for me either with the exception of one where I abandoned Sol on turn 2 (crappy start).
