Oh, ok. Thanks. I should have gone for the Drengin.net subscription, I guess. Bummer.

I just preordered Altarian Prophecy. I was under the impression that that entitled me to download the beta. Is this right, or do I have to do anything else? Where do I find the download? I can't find it on Stardock Central. I already installed SmartException in anticipation of all the bugs I'm going to report. :)
(I posted this question / minor niggle on comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.strategic as well.) Is there a way to get all newly produced ships to de-orbit? It's a real chore to have to click the system, double-click the ship icon, and then click the ship on the main screen (if you want to move it right now, that is). Not to mention that it is really easy to forget about a ship. And after doing the first two of those maneuvers it is *really* confusing to have the blue 'active unit' mar
Others have asked more or less the same question, but I haven't seen an answer yet. I've submitted two games, one of them almost 48 hours ago, and I have yet to show up in the metaverse list. But what is more alarming is that the list contains only 51 names. Something is seriously wrong with that number. There ought to be at least a few hundred names by now. What gives? Sten
Ok, thanks. Is the degree of 'evilness' generally proportional to the benefit it bestows?
Example 1 There are whales on this planet. Good: Leave them alone. Neutral: They get to stay in just one ocean. (+10% pop max) Evil: Kill'em all! (+20% pop max) Example 2 The atmosphere here would be suitable for your research. Good: Leave it alone. Neutral: Use half of it. (+3% research) Evil: Use it all. (+7% research) The evil choices in these examples give you different benefits, but do they push you equally much towards an evil alignmen
Doktorstick, Exactly my thought. Even better would be tick-boxes to choose which levels would be elegible for the random choice. But just an upper and lower range would be almost as good. Sten
Great, thanks. From what I have understood from the various descriptions and AAR's, there's a LOT of difference between the different intelligence settings. What do you think, is the random setting *too* unprdictable, or do you use it a lot? Sten
Hi all. I'm very much looking forward to the 26:th, and in the meantime I'm trying to learn as much as possible. GalCiv seems to have a great community around it, so I hpe you can help me with this question. Do the alignment and intelligence options have a 'Random' setting? Or will the player always know the alignment and intelligence of his opponents? Thanks, Sten
