No need to apologise to me BlueSteel. As I mentioned before, you were an infinitely better Emperor than I ever was. Also, you give me too much credit by referring to me as the founder of the ANZACs. The idea was brought up by other people at the time...I was simply the one who pushed the "create empire" button. :)

I'm not sure if this is the place to report any bugs with 1.11, but I ran into one in my first game after updating. On 2-3 occasions during the game I would send a constructor to a resource where it would build a starbase...but somehow it was not built properly on the resource. Normally the resource icon would move to the bottom-right corner of the starbase image but when the bug happened the starbase image would be right over the resource icon. I'm sure BlueSteel will do a much better job of maintaining the empire than I did (that would not require much effort) while it is also good to see a few other members come out of the woodwork. Once you have your copy you can go to this page - http://www.galciv.com/playerreg.asp There you enter the serial number that comes with GalCiv to register for the Metaverse. Then you can go here - http://www.galciv.com/metaverse/empires.asp?id=223 That is the ANZAC Empire page where you'll find a "Join Empire" button. Hope that helps.
Kiwi Greg - I had a look at that ezboard link and it looks pretty good. It would be handy to have a separate forum to post to rather than just continually adding to this thread. Though I noticed that a few sections asked for a password to access them even after creating an ezboard account. btw...welcome to all the recent additions to the empire and keep up the good work :)

Aussie Empire has been changed over to the Anzac Empire. Initial logo is the southern cross, hope that is ok. If anyone wants to make a better quality logo feel free to do so. Should be fun :)
Regarding the ANZAC empire, I'm just wondering which is the best way to get everyone together. By this I mean do we (a) modify one of the current empires while members of the other join up or (b) simply create a new empire and we all move over? Also, should the symbol be one from Slitherin's link?...and if so do we want the circle or square variant?
I don't mind the idea of an ANZAC empire. Though it looks like Kiwi Greg has started up the Kiwi empire which could provide some friendly rivalry.
Jeatalong - in an earlier post you mentioned that you had joined the empire but it doesn't seem to have registered. It is interesting that you can click on 'My Empire' and you are given the option to quit, though as you have pointed out you don't have the flag icon at the bottom of your posts. When I click on 'My Empire' it does not show you in the list which may explain the flag not being there. Have you had any luck trying Slitherin's suggestions? Since you have a Met

Good to see a few of us have the game and are interested in the idea. I've created the "Aussie Empire" and have used the Eureka flag as suggested. For anyone wanting to join, it should be on the 2nd page of the "Top Empires" list.
Before the release of GalCiv there was a thread on the forum regarding the availability of the game in Australia. After a number of people responded someone suggested that we make an empire of Australian players once the game proper was released. Were people still interested in doing this? (I did a quick check to make sure someone hadn't already created an aussie empire but could not find any)
