Other 2 cents from the other side of the ocean... (2 Euro cents actually). Why not move - literally - to another dimension for the next version of GC? ;) Something that would be a real quantum leap... I mean, what I always wanted is a 3-dimension space strategy game. Today all the decent games in my knowledge are 2d-games. I really think that only Stardock could be able to manage the added complexities. For sure this would require to have some 3d modeler to

Hello friends, I just upgraded my GC and subscribed to Drengin.net; I am now downloading AP. Some questions to the veterans out there: 1) I am currently playing 2 games in GC 1.21. Will the games be affected by the upgrade? Will the game dynamics change? 2) Will I be able to play plain vanilla GC after the installation or I will have the "upgraded" AP version only? 3) When the new releases of GC and AP will appear, what will I have to download? Just the AP updates
Hmmm... I know I am focusing on something quite unpopular to the hardcore GC fans, but... I see that most of the suggestions here do refer to the "core" of the game, while nothing was related to User Interface, Graphics, etc. My 2 cents on the subject, at a first glance, after just 2 days of play: - all the frames must be resizable. I mean, in poor old OS/2 we did have the game running in a window where you could resize the Galactic Map, the Sector Map, Graphs, the
Thx - I went directly to the CNET engine thru Stardock Central. I am ordering now... ~SDC~
Hi everybody, I bought this Monday from Stardock Central GalCiv... before looking at the new stuff coming! I realize that there is the chance to upgrade to the Drengin.net - but I am not able to find it anymore. I can only find the full Drengin.net subscription. Did Stardock withdraw the upgrade offering? Or is it hidden just somewhere? Thx in advance. ~SDC~
Hello everybody from an (old) newbie... back here since the OS2 days. I have some basic questions to this wonderful community What if I modify the stars.lst file? Am I allowed to change the names in there? Am I allowed just to change or I can add, delete and modify lines? And last one: is there any pre-defined association between the names used and the races? Thanks in advance. ~SDC~
