The "blah *pause* blah *pause*" is most likely caused by some kind of buffer underrun in your system. I have an AMD 450 Mhz processor and I have that issue in this game and just about any other newer game that uses the .bik type files. I can't say whether its my slow processor or a sound card that doesn't support hardware buffering or both. :notsure:

Yes. Your only alternative is to reduce the wasted spender quite a bit, and use that income to build up your treasurery. Then, you can afford to buy something outright once in a while. That too wastes resources of course, but you get it right away. ~SDC~

[quote]Yes, different world. But you know, USA is not the center of the World, with behaviour like that, how can wonder, some extremists hate USA and are willing to plan terrorist acts? I had an issue where I was updating to 1.05.069 and would get a CTD before starting the game. Apparently, my SDC build 15 should have updated to build 16 but would not. I installed SDC 1.0, instead of the RC5, or whatever version came on the GalCiv CD and then SDC auto-updated to build 16 and I could correctly reinstall GalCiv and update to the latest version.

There are a lot of them. I'll try to locate one relating to private messaging. I disabled it from back in my Civ3 days, because there wasn't anyone I knew well enough that I wanted to get a private message from. ~SDC~

Being morally absolute is not bad. It depends on what your morale principles are. Altarians may believe in the wrong things. Drengin don't believe in the right things. Basically, that's the same thing. The difference is that you can have something in common with the Altarians if you act as they believe you should. You can't have anything in common with Drengin because they believe in nothing, except that maybe chocolate is good and that your leg looks juicy.

I'm assuming that its because you're normally in a higher color level. Its not too hard to switch, and 16-bit isn't terrible like 256 color mode...shudder. ~SDC~

Right on Jeffery! We have already purchsed the game, and aren't really owed anything more. I for one like to be nice to the guys doing things for me after I've already bought the game. Its not sucking up, its just common curtesy for people doing us a favor. A little less demanding, and a lot more begging. ~SDC~
