Make sure your registration information is correct. I've gotten this error once in a while when the Stardock server is down. Also, you can download the standalone patch as a last resort until you can sort out the Stardock issues.

Summer ends sometime in August for where Stardock is at. ~SDC~
I don't believe that there are any negative affects to anti-matter missles.
When you get done downloading, you can use Stardock to "backup" Galciv and all related files. You could then copy this backup to a CD I think. ~SDC~
If you go to the trade screen from the Domestic tab, there will be slots open for routes you could start. For example, if you already have 1 route, you will see a #1 with details. Now, if you have the capacity for 2 more, you'll see a blank #2 and #3. Hope that's what you were looking for. ~SDC~
The "blah *pause* blah *pause*" is most likely caused by some kind of buffer underrun in your system. I have an AMD 450 Mhz processor and I have that issue in this game and just about any other newer game that uses the .bik type files. I can't say whether its my slow processor or a sound card that doesn't support hardware buffering or both. :notsure:
Yes. Your only alternative is to reduce the wasted spender quite a bit, and use that income to build up your treasurery. Then, you can afford to buy something outright once in a while. That too wastes resources of course, but you get it right away. ~SDC~
I'm offended. You put together a computer from peices of trash and it rivals my own system :sniff!: ~SDC~
Correct, its not out yet. The selling point is that when the beta does come out, Drengin.net subscribers will get it first. ~SDC~
Yes, different world. But you know, USA is not the center of the World, with behaviour like that, how can wonder, some extremists hate USA and are willing to plan terrorist acts? You may end like in Fahrenheit 451.
No one deserves what terrorists do. I believe you have been misled about this issue. ~SDC~
I don't think that this concept would work well with the existing technology setup and game concepts. ~SDC~
You might want to submit a game or two to get your empires score above 0.
I had an issue where I was updating to 1.05.069 and would get a CTD before starting the game. Apparently, my SDC build 15 should have updated to build 16 but would not. I installed SDC 1.0, instead of the RC5, or whatever version came on the GalCiv CD and then SDC auto-updated to build 16 and I could correctly reinstall GalCiv and update to the latest version.
You also get some other nice programs that I've found entertaining. Stellar Frontier and The Corporate Machine are excellent. :CONGRAT: ~SDC~
The events depicted here do not represent real life events. They may, in fact, be the musings of a slightly insane leader, who drinks from too many lead goblets. ~SDC~

Supreme Senator Ellestar wrote:
To send you a private message (by the way you disabled private messages???). You didn't saw my topic on Apolyton?
I did not see your post. There are a lot of them. I'll try to locate one relating to private messaging. I disabled it from back in my Civ3 days, because there wasn't anyone I knew well enough that I wanted to get a private message from. ~SDC~
Just found 1.04a.062. Update didn't seem to get any files though. ~SDC~
Why do you ask? ~SDC~
I'm strongdl ~SDC~
Being morally absolute is not bad. It depends on what your morale principles are. Altarians may believe in the wrong things. Drengin don't believe in the right things. Basically, that's the same thing. The difference is that you can have something in common with the Altarians if you act as they believe you should. You can't have anything in common with Drengin because they believe in nothing, except that maybe chocolate is good and that your leg looks juicy.
Rickdeckard wrote: I can get a window mode exec but then I have to switch to 16-bit color!
He said he was aware of the windowed mode. I don't see why 16-bit color is bad. I'm assuming that its because you're normally in a higher color level. Its not too hard to switch, and 16-bit isn't terrible like 256 color mode...shudder. ~SDC~
Right on Jeffery! We have already purchsed the game, and aren't really owed anything more. I for one like to be nice to the guys doing things for me after I've already bought the game. Its not sucking up, its just common curtesy for people doing us a favor. A little less demanding, and a lot more begging. ~SDC~
Not the correct forum for this... However, if you click on your name in your above post you can see your score. It appears to be 0 right now. [Message Edited]
