Looking forward to it!

Looking nice. Don't think I'll be modding much, but who knows if it's this easy.
Totally! Game runs rock solid. In the last beta there were a few bugs left but really minor stuff imho. I'd say it's in better shape than many, many games that get released in a far worse state. The game is lightyears ahead of WOM. I was very disappointed in WOM but FE is total vengeance for Stardock.
Ooooh love it! Never cared for campaigns in 4x games, but this one looks to be very interesting thanks to the RPG elements. Looking forward to it. Love the artwork.
I'm late, but I'd for 85. The game is too much a niche game to get a 90 plus score. And believe me, every single reviewer will deduct points for the game not having multiplayer. They did this already for GalCiv II and really feel Stardock should have learned and added multiplayer in 2012. I don't agree, but they'll all fall over it! I do happily pay 1$ for added multiplayer though (specifically some form of PBEM).
Truly remarkable indeed. I must say that version .99 was a massive boost in overall performance. Game is really smooth now on my laptop. And for the endgame with so many things going on that's quite an achievement.
Ok, there's really no denying that it's a bug then. A question mark would be best to solve it I guess.
I would love to see this in. Taking over cities should be something you prepare an army for. Not just a lucky hero passing by and taking advantage of two men with clubs who happen to be the only city defense.
Well it is if the tooltip already knows you're gonna miss. ;) But in that case they shouldn't call it Gambler's Strike anymore.
I've seen this too, but more settlements isn't always better so it's not necessarily a bad thing, though I agree the AI is bit too meek now in claiming land. It IS a good thing they don't settle next to dragon lairs anymore though.
Yep, good suggestion. I'd go for Landmark too.
Familiar and Imp, both useless imho. Like said earlier they get oneshotted far too easily by enemy archers or mages.
I went up from challenging to hard two beta's ago. Doing 50/50 on hard so this is my level for Now. Since 0.99 came out in a very tense game that's lasting for 8 hours already. Still 5 factions alive. I'm in third. Ythril is a real powerhouse having twice of everyone else's power but at war with all of us too. Currently aiming for an alliance victory.
Yep we sure neef easy army management. Current system is pretty cumbersome.
I agree, I love it that units are finally worth considering in the beginning of the game. Sure it's hard to decide what to put in you queue but that's really a good thing. Just takes a little getting used to after a long beta where it was never necessary.
Amen to that!
Sorry but could someone explain to me what CTRL+N does or when you use it? Thanks!
Sure! You can use ctrl+n right at the start of the game, just after the map is generated. If you then hit ctrl+n the game will generate a new map for you and thus a new starting location. You can do this till you're happy with your starting location. I think it's a nice feature, but I never use it since I like to ta
Like so many others's before me said, excellent vid of a very dedicated team. Keep going this last week guys. I'm actually really looking forward to the campaign, a mode I usually ignore in 4x games. I nver use ctrl+n. It's just making the game easier for yourself, why would one want that? I like the challenge of a not so optimal starting location.
Yep, no crashing here either.
That should scare the demon! ;) Shouldn't happen of course.
Same goes for ai doing physical attacks to my one unit who just swallowed a physical resistance potion. Tactical AI has to be taught not to do that.
Thanks for a very entertaining read. +1 for you since these reports are fun AND make the game better. Hope one's coming for 0.99.
[e digicons][/e] Still a bit sad though as it's not only pony time but also bedtime here. Not feeling well so I'm off to bed. Will read first impressions in the morning.
I'm F5-ing so much that I didn't even fall for it... Gosh Im a sad person...
I use it from time to time to cross water when the available paths are full of things I don't want to mess with.
That's all very nice to know mister Paxton, but shouldn't you be uploading something? ;)
