I hope the level requirements changed for these weapons that have been nerfed. Some of them are like level 18, and now barely any better than a longsword.
They probably come with a free pony now.

Heavenfall and Sean sum it up well. I blindly preordered WOM after Stardock's trackrecord with Galciv 1 and 2 which I both really enjoyed. Was very, very disappointed with WOM and thought the game was beyond repair. But since reluctantly trying the first beta of FE my confidence in Stardock as a game developer for great 4x games has been restored. Ever since beta 2 I got a lot of enjoyment out of the game. I would wholeheartedly recommend it but would fully understand for you to read the

Sure, whet our appetites ever further. As if the weekend wasn't going slow enough... ;) Looking very much forward to build an early army to back up my sov and heroes. Sure hope trainingtimes are reduces though.
-25% seems like a ton to me. I would prefer to give more defenders to cities and give them some more armor.
But no ponies? Seriously you're happy with just one lousy pony. [e digicons]^_^[/e] I agree fully here. The 25% bonus doesn't solve anything. In the end I think it even hurts the AI more than it hurts players. More defenders to cities with some armour would be a much better solution. I really hope
While I appreciate the fact you guys are working on making the monster system better, because I love this game, I still feel the current system is just a bad one. It's too hard to understand, too random, and not really that fun. Oh well maybe in a patch or mod.
In my book there's nothing wrong with randomness in a singleplayer game. Actually I want randomness. It makes every game different and unpredictable. That's also

Thanks for getting here along with us Derek! You've shaped and polished the game into a true gem. With a bit of further polish it'll be the game I'll be playing for a long, long time. Thanks very much for listening (and sometimes not listening) to all the different beta-testers here. I'm almost sad we're at the end of the beta cycle. ;) Now excuse me I have to finish my game with Darsonia of the Fargoth before the final beta comes out!

I say you're good to go. The game can always be further improved and I'm 1000% sure it will be further improved looking at Stardock's trackrecord. But a perfect game at release? Not going to happen. In it's current state (and after one or two extra patches before release) the game is so much fun to play. I think reviews will be good and in the 80's. Probably not 90's cause, mark my words, almost every reviewer will deduct points for not having multiplayer
I kind of like the idea that we can go into diplomacy and demand they leave. It is exactly the kind of aggressive posturing diplomacy is full of. But once they back down and leave, they should be physically impeded from reentering for 12 turns. All trade should stop for those 4 years and at the end, the AI should contact you for a deal to pass.
That would be an elegant way to solve it.
