What I find so encouraging about this game is that when I watch Brad's AAR's he's playing against intelligent opponents most of the time. Looking at the reports, he has a hard time every game and he's not even playing on the hardest difficulty! Now for crying out loud, he's the designer of the game and has troubles with his own AI! To me it looks like this will finally be a game with an AI that is worth the I in its name. Except for chessgames like Fritz or Chessmaster I've ha

Hehe yeah, but since this is such an important decision, as a true strategist, I'm thinking this one over very well! A wrong decision could ruin it all! ;) I'm now reading Corporate Machine reviews.
Ok thanks for the quick answer! :) So the only decision left for me now is: Do I want the game burned on a cd-r or do I want an original cd + dvdbox for about $18 extra or shall I just get Drengin.net for $25 extra... :d Hmmm, decisions, decisions... ;p
Sorry to open another topic about this, but I'm getting more anxious now that the 26th is approacing rapidly and I'm still not totally sure how the online ordering works. - So do I HAVE to get the cd sent to me after I've downloaded the game or is it optionally? - When I choose to have the cd sent to me (I live in The Netherlands so that would cost me $10 for shipping plus import taxes which makes it about $18) what will I get for that? Will I get a printed manual or just the c
Great AAR once again. Man do we really have to wait another 3 days? ;)
Has to be the AI. For the first time in years I have a feeling that this is finally going to be an AI that can cope with human players in a human way. There have been lots of games with 'adaptive' AI that will 'learn' from the player. But the way Brad has explained the AI in GalCiv and the way it has acted in his AAR's I have a really strong feeling that this AI is going to kick some major butt!
The actual game has gone gold already so there was nothing to add anymore ;) I guess these were ideas that came up late and they didn't have enough time to implement. I think it's great that we get a bonuspack right of the bat!
Heard from it a long time ago (probably OS/2 days) when I was still playing Civ I. Then I lost track of the game and thought the project had been aborted (never used OS/2). A few months ago I saw the game on tothegame.com. I started to get really interested when MOO3 came out and the AI turned out to be crap. Read a preview about the intelligent AI and finally started heading here. If the AI is anything close to what Brad and the previews say, this game will hold my attention for a long
Woohoo! Great new features while the game isn't even out yet! :) I'll be buying and downloading the game right away on the 26th of March. Great way of getting the game, since I live in The Netherlands. Can't wait to play!
Frogboy: "But you'll be able to make your own ships with tools we're releasing with the bonuspak or shortly after." Space Dust: "It's modable with the utility they will release in final version." So there you go guys. If you REALLY want to play the Haskjahs or the Granaadoenososes it's just a question of renaming and put some new sprites in the game. Well, not that it's really easy to make but I'm sure people will start making those mods. So if you REALLY can't
