Ah finally we have a release date. May 4th! That's next week already.:)

Why doesn't very soon feel like soon enough? [e digicons]>_>[/e] Anyways enjoying these daily Journals.
This is looking really great. So many great improvements, it's gonna feel like a complete new game. But when? When will we get a release date more specific than (early) spring?
Yeah! Welcome back CariElf. Remember you very well from the GalCiv 1 and 2 days!
Yep I've been playing it too now!
Great. Not sure if I will attend the stream, but I'll surely be playing tonight!
High time I became a god, so gimme the game! Your god demands it! ;)
This still stands I hope? Looking forward to start playing tonight.
Looking very nice! Just a few more days till release. Looking forward to it.
Thanks for clarifying. Now we only need a release date.
Bummer. I went to bed just after it 'released' thinking I would install it today and play after work. Any comments from devs on this?
Careful what you wish for. It's here already!
What a nice surprise! Some very good quality of life additions here.
I'm glad the micromanagewheel is gone. I always forgot to update it and was always struggling for the exact right setting. For me the game is much more fun now. To each his own I guess.
Thanks jvdouglass. That did the trick for me too. Never had to do this before but it worked like a charm.
I've been using opt in patches for GalCiv 3 from beta on and never a problem till this time. If I select the 1.3 optin in Steam it just won't trigger. The patch won't download no matter what I try (verifyng cache, reinstalling game, remocing mods), I keep being stuck at v 1.2. Any clue what causes this? I've seen others report this too in the 1.3 patch thread on this forum and on the Steam forums.
Would be very interested to try this out, sadly Steam wont donwload the beta no matter what I do :-/
Same problem for me. Tried everything from verifying cache to deleting local files to disabling all mods. Nothing seems to trigger the download. :(
Correct, I can confirm this. Sometimes tileyields just disappear and reappear.
Cool, thanks for the heads up. Gonna check out the new balance. :)
Ok I'm at version 0.99 now. No clue what changed though. Can we have a changelog guys?
lI DID get a big update in just now, just under 500 megs.
Balance is off in the lastest patch. I still had fun but later in the game it became a bit of a slog. I've postponed my next game till the next patch. Besides the balance being off in 5.4 the game is really great fun and sure has a unique feel to it. I'm loving the game, looking forward to the next patch and final release.
Looking forward to it, though it's during my vacation. :) Hope to see another update before release too, so I can at least play that before leaving for vacation.
Tough one to call. I think the game is pretty much ready for release. Do agree that 5.4 brought some changes that aren't going to help, but I trust them to give it a swing in the right direction the upcoming two weeks. Besides balance I think the game is really ready for release actually (do agree with you that GC3 could have used a month extra beta, but in the end we don't have to run the business and SK already got a few extra months of development).
You know there are other ways to give feedback? I'm not a dev but I'd surely like to get some more constructive feedback instaed of a rant like this. It's about the balance of a few weapons. We in beta so these thing are put in to try out. I like the new balance a lot. Some nerfs might be a bit too harsh, but like said be constructive man. Come up with a few suggestions instead.
