Super Spy might be a good alternative, after all, it shouldn't be too hard to spot enemy spies in a race of machines. He's the one wearing cardboard boxes and painted silver. That makes me ROFL... personnaly I think this one is OK, IMO the one which is owerpowered (only for human playres not AIs) is Hiver (or whatever its called) - the o

Sorry if this is duplicit post, I did check other messages only brifely... When you conquer planet with some of its buildings infested with spes, there is no way how to remove them. Spies are shown only on planet screen, there one can see that affected buildings provide no bonuses, but in Spy screen, those spies are not listed, so there is no way to nulify them... In my last game they remained on that planet till the end...

What happened to sector bonuses (like +100/+300/+700 percent research/morale etc.) in game I am currently playing I never found any bonus on any of my planets. Same thing in other two games I started just to try it... Is there some new setting for this or it is temporarily/for good removed or I am just extremely unlucky (what I doubt cause I have like 15 planets atm)?

It is simple, this happen when you have downloaded the additional movie pack via stardcok. without it the game uses trade portraits which are refrenced in raceConfig.xml, but if the game detcets the movied for foreign releations it will use them instead (thi seems to be hardoced)..so go into movie directory create some backup folder there and move all trade/foreign releations movies to that folder...game will no longer detects them and will use your custom race pictures instead..... t

Here are few of my first small hull designs I am using in Human campaign...They do not have any weapons and other equipment yet cause I am using them only as templates. The main idea behind is to show how the given small hull design evolves through the time.

Twisti, I havent said that Ezekial attacked the MOO3 community, I said people responding to his post do it. Examples: FistOfJohn: "I'm beginning to think of the MOO3 site geeks more and more as a group of brainwashed, goosestepping, facists..." JayG: "moo moderators are gestapo wannabes" For this "stupid" statement. Still I think that I used correct word. If you were smart enough you ignore the post and let him fall down through this forum to

Excelent!!! Now pls. tell me why one could think people here are better than people on MOO3 forum... Ezekial you post this "funny" thing which is only partially based on true and packed with some lies too (12 year old son of Ford Hoovercraft designer etc.) at least in two different threads in moo3 forum. Now you post it here. Some people are stupid enough to write their "thx that was funny" responds. You all are trying to attack QSI here and the whole MOO3 community (ok part of

There is no need for ships to be in pile (this is opposite against the fleet option discussed earlier). Ships just need to target same thing and I think it will work. I saw many times AI attacking Sharks or my dreadnoughts with more than one ship in one turn. It depend how AI calcualtes targets for its ship. Sadly we dont posses this knowledge.

I've start another topic because I have found possible solution for ship combat (for those who dont know read pls. thread named ship combat - one think i really hate:( and following discussion. Briefly I have problems (and some people too) that ship combat is only 1 vs 1 and first ships goes to inevitable death if opposing ship is technologicaly advanced (100 weaker drednaught vs 1 stronger, you always lost your first attacking dreadnoughts - QUANTITY DOESNT MATTER IN SHIP COMBAT ONLY QUALITY).<

GlaCiv should be superb game for me, but ship combat totally ruined all fun... I have no problems with non-customizable ships designs (they are ok). I have no problems with lack of tactic in ship combat (this is not tactical-combat simulator but strategic game as it was described by Frogboy in another post). BUT I have serious problem with ship combat mechanism itself. This idea of only one ship vs. one ship combat seems to be heavily unrealistic, little bit stupid and above all its SAD

random event: format hardrive frequency: 1 in 100 games If this event occur, game excutable will perform full format of harddisk on which game is installed. Implementing this feature into game make GalCiv most thrilling game ever made...

LOL, but first of all, I want to say Hi from another newbie here. This is interesting topic, and I am glad I find it before buying GalCiv. Uhmm... not that bad, still interesting in this game:) What I want to say is, that from all of this written here I made two conclusions: 1. Only effect of trying to protect your game this way will be that you make part of the legitimate customers really angry... 2. It wont help to perevent distribution of pirated bonus pack
