To the asshole in #45 - wow. Not being able to afford something for entertainment is not an excuse for stealing it. Starforce succeeds because of attitudes like yours - and it punishes people like Stardock. Keep fighting the good fight Brad - and the Slashdot story will help you guys.

Hmm- I've been away for quite a while, and though Altarian Philosophy would help me get back into Gal Civ- amazon seems to only have a go-gamer link in terms of carrying it...
Des Fox, I could never get my comp to work with metaverse games, and tis a shame- I believe I have 0 points if Im still on the list... ;)
thanks Brad- if there is an official policy on it, let me know. From my understanding, once I own the game- Im free to do what I want with it short of illegally distributing it- that seems reasonable.
Hey, from an old poster- way back in the day, I think I was one of the 5 original members of the Jedi Republic. As it happens, I came across the totalgaming package, and given I was about to purchase the expansion pack and/or the Political Machine- I thought the $50 upgrade might be worth it. i was however curious about something- I have no interest in playing Disciples and/or the ORB game - and I was curious as to whether I can give it to a friend who only wants to play the latter to let hi
A couple of months or so- Basically, Ive been at work over the summer, and have been spending my time elsewhere... goos to see this place goes well.. I still have like 3 games I want to submit to the metaverse, but no net connection at home till mid-august, so Im just waiting for that.
Ive been away for quite a while- this place looks good. great work on the website, Obi- that's really clean and professional looking...
Frogboy, If you make a Galciv2, I know I for one would buy it direct this time - the 5 buck difference is not significant enough- I think a fair amount of people here would do that.
Sigh... What part of no is so hard for people to understand ? Brad has said this, and whatever this kid thinks, its Brad's choice in the end- no one else's.
Multiplayer is not going to happen- not now, not ever for GalCiv. In a future version, who knows, but it will not be an aspect of GalCiv as it is now.
My first thought upon reading the title was that ANZAC had make breakthrough's in their Sheep-bombing techniqes... ;) Im interested in the possibilities that Luke has proposed, and I have to admit that this particular thing bothered me as well. One of the few good things about Civ3 was the idea of citizenship- it might change over time, but opponents were still citizens of other empires. This is obviously harder with different species, but I would like it taken into account, especially
Im surprised there isn't a language filter, but I guess it wasn't needed until idiots Vasueden decided to show up.. Sad Really.
Firstly, thanks for the screenshots Ray- Im not going to go out and upgrade to Drengin.net, but tis considered..:D Crushbone, I agree completely- I see the logic regarding starships, but bases out to be treated like planets- a civ should be willing to give them up for peace.
btw guys, I have a couple of games worth 10K total at least, but I can't install gal civ on any comp with a net connection- firewall and stuff. Am going to try to give it a go soon somewhere else.. :D
jayson Blair- he's next on our PR departments' wishlist. Then we intend to hire the guy who is the head salesperson for Schlitz- now that requres skill. :D
I agree with Gerakken someone with no credibility shouldn't be dissing an empire they know nothing about besides the fact that many of the players are evil besides acording to scores G.R.O.S.S is number 1
OfCourse, this is coming from a kid who tried dissing the republic and arguing about Empires who doesn't even own the game- pot, kettle, black. On topic though, I agree with PBP here- don't talk trash unless your'e in a position to do something about it. Say wha
Meanwhile, there seems to be a great increase in the number of sheep reported missing on Republic systems- the security services are now taking steps to secure all known sheep in the system, to prevent any further "benefits" to an unnamed empire- this unnamed empire's soldier are known for not fighting till they've had fun with old "wooly", to put it bluntly..
Guys, in general, anything that involves cloned monkey armies is a good idea- Im all for it. :D
Forget the republic. If you want to join an empire join G.R.O.S.S its much more fun being evil. Kid, you aren't even in an empire- hell, as I recall reading, you haven't even played the game. Why exactly are you commenting ?
Damnit LifeWish, the small print has to be small :D
how is it ? what's been changed ?
You are invited to gape with awe and amazement as the ANZACs demonstrate the wonders of Airborne Livestock. WARNING: Absolutely no scribes will be allowed.
hehe- what is it about you Kiwi's and sheep. While Im at it, I posted this earlier- I thought only the kiwi's were into sheep (or so my Australian friends had me believe)- has it crossed into aussie-land as well ? :D
the Altarians are paper tigers from my perspective- if you're stronger than them militarily, ignore them.
guys, just fyi- relax.. its a game, and this is all in good fun- Im enjoying these conversations, because I don't think people are making the mistake of taking it too seriously- lets maintain that. :D
First things first- Stardock is where you get everything. IF you are a drengin.net subscriber, you get the beta's - otherwise you don't. Thus ppl like me- (who aren't Drengin subscribers) will get the expansion when its released- which should be late July, early August to venture a guess.
