[/quote] see, here's my q regarding that- frigates seem to be so damn expensive, and I take the approach of building swatchs of battle hammers instead- Its not the strongest offensive army, but its rock solid in defense and not as expensive. Do you still go out and buy frigates if you aren't attempting a extermination campaign ?

Since this place has a lot of people mulling around, I might as well ask- does anyone here build battlecruisers ? Complete distortion of the topic I know, but I personally find them to be to weak (low HP, bonuses and all) and tend to lean heavily on battle hammers...

Regarding the AMM's, they're great for bombardment- akin to the nuke in Civ2, but less powerful- they knock out three or four ships and destroy. Great way (and often the only way) to knock out that level 4 dreadnought that the Yor has...

One more thing- leasing in general is only referring to the purchasing of something. For example, when you try to buy a battlecruiser on Earth that has 4 months remaing, you can either pay a flat sum now, or pay some now and pay x amound for y years- the latter is leasing the battlecruiser.
