From what I understand this is a known issue with DSL and is being looked into... I have had this problem as well from day 1.

I have played the game since it came out and heard the complaints. Mostly peoples scores not showing up in the Metaverse But for me though I am connected to the internet when I hit done I do not get a submit screen...it goes back to the main menu. Now from here I can hit the metaverse button and it connects me directly to the metaverse...so I am thinking it knows it is connected....no firewall through a dsl line. Has there been any solutions to mine and perhaps a few others problem??

Alot of people though connected to the internet are not getting the " Submit " page....I have not seen this officially addressed as of yet.

I have never seen the submit button and my saved games folder is getting pretty full with those 1 turn to wins. I too have a game from cd....I can load up the metaverse from the main menu so i know it is not the internet connection :notsure:

I just hit done and it goes back to the main menu....and I've tried all of the suggested tricks to load my dsl connection just before ending the game etc...

It was the labour.event...I opened up the event and in the first line of printed type " EVENT Labour Unrest " I just changed it so it would read the same as the file name " Event Labour " That has worked for me.....as for you...well you can try that.

Figured out it was a mis spelled event file name I had downloaded....now if I could just get the submit screen to appear at at the end of my games.

It loads upto 100% then CTD....this is on all saves....auto, and manual.

I'm having a problem with my saved games that wont load the game was started with the latest patch and I tested with a new very short game and it will not load either...does anyone have any suggestions???

At least you get to the submit page...I just get thrown back to the main menu...every time I hit done.

I think the point people are trying to make is that when you may capture a "caplital" planet...you do capture all of the existing infrastructue and expertise there as well. Just because Germany may capture Switzerland does not make all of the International Banking there useless...It may be less effective...but it should still give a good bonus. Conversely however if you lose a "capital" you should be able to build a new one someplace else. I would agree to a halving of bonuses a captured "capita

Trade Vs. Tax in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Today in a game I was doing quite well Culturally and was starting to have planet after planet defect to my flag....but as my existing trade routes were becoming extinct...my income was heavily being eaten away. Luckily the game ended with a cultural victory when it did because I had a -1600 income. ( This I had no way of undoing short of destroying a dozen or so colonies ) Trade is good...but how can trade income triple tax income. ??

I E-mailed EB yesterday...and as of today I have not heard any reply....Strategy First AFAIK did not recieve any Order from EB Canada...till today. Why this delay from EB Canada I don't know. (:(

Strategy first gave a very prompt response to my e-mail...about 30 min...I'm still waiting on EB Games. Strategy First seem to have their act together...

Galactic Civilizations has indeed shipped in the U.S. and should be available if not today, then definitely by tomorrow. As for when this title will be available in Canada, I am waiting for purchase orders from Future Shop, EB Canada and Compucenters. I am told at least EB Canada's orders will be in latest tomorrow. I'm not sure when that means the game will hit retail shelves, but my guess is that it will be before April 7th. I will have more information tomorrow, I will be sure

My local EB quoted the 7th as the release date today. This is a trend with some Strategy First releases I'm afraid :notsure:
