I'm just drawing to the end of my gigantic game and have just chucked out an Excalibur. Though I started as the Tech Party I've got a nifty +276% weapons, +284% defense and +90% hitpoints. Added to this, my main ship producer has +219% Ships. The bottom line is that the Excalibur that was just created has a whopping 436 attack, 110 defense and 17 moves :D Can you beat that? What's the greatest ship the universe has ever seen... ~SDC~

Good idea - it makes it sound like you're using up your influence by calling in favours from other big shots :) As for not seeing a UP Council, they show every four years. I've had a few of the events where you find precursor ships lying around but in a recent battle with the Altarians I came up against around 50 (I kid you not) Precursor Corvettes, as well as a few Precursor Dreadnaughts, Rangers etc. Happily the 50 odd Corvettes just power levelled all my Battle Hammers and in one of the most entertaining turns ever, four freshly escaped space monsters ate all the Altarians heavy cavalry. Anyway, my point is - is there an event that gives you d

Heh, thanks. I never thought of changing the victory conditions, but I can't help but feel it's a bit of a cop out :P I tried sitting quietly in my corner of the galaxy churning out constructors and not bothering anyone. Then the Drengins decided they wanted my tasty skin and since they had most of the remaining galaxy the wasn't much I could do about it :sniff!: I think I just need more practice (which is of course an excellent excuse to play more often LOL) Cheers, <b

Has anyone managed to win with a tech victory? I've tried a couple of times but a number of problems conspire to defeat me: 1. It takes absolutely ages to get to the end techs so you're in for a very long game 2. Your opponents will be developing while you research so you may fall behind militarily, culturally or economically 3. Play your cards right and become a galactic power and you risk a cultural victory by accident 4. If someone declares war on you and can't be appease
