morazella cheese: at the start of the game, go to different parts of the map and click on the little four colored square at the corner. without exploring you can find the home sectors of all the empires. this way you can grow in directions that suit you. ie, avoid the aggressor, or rush him to minimze his planet lead.

yay! just read that one of the cheat keys makes you skip the colonization period and divides the inhabitable planets evenly among the races. guess this means i'll never be able to submit a finished game since i am always gonna use this feature!

the biggest hurdle is the saving of the game probably. i am no slouch on stuff on the internet but i still had to: register figure out apolyton's save system upload figure out how to link confirm the linnk worked that's a lot more effort than hitting "submit game" plus my galciv crashed on the second game so i couldn't play :sniff!: >:( (:(

DON'T build every building at first. those things cost money and maintanence. concentrate on economy helping buildings and stuff that increase planet quality (soil enhancement is the first thing to build usually). if your planet has total of 10 income, something that helps its economy by 5% but costs 5bc to maintain is gonna drain your economy. to stop from being strapped for cash then open trade routes, build starbases with trade enhancement modules, research stuff that increases your

first set everything to easy so it's...easy. next, make sure your house is in order: economic strength is needed for military stength. are you using trade routes? selling techs for cash(and other techs)? at first you will be losing money but that's ok. you want get trade routes and then build starbases to increase the $$$ along your trade routes. make sure you are in the top three militaries on the military graph to keep other civs from bullying you. corvettes are
