Ship rotator. It's has a couple of nice features :
can you make it so that if makes a certain color transparent automatically? such as a blotch of really hot pink that colors everything that is NOT the image of the ship and this part is converted to a transparency? for those of us who use ms paint as our primary paint program, stuff like alpha blending transparent layers are a big obstacle to making even a simple ship set.

i once did it after i set everyone but the yor to good and then gave the yor a higher (but not too high) ai. once they were dead it was easy to bribe for alliance.
have to say the drengin have to be the funniest of the AIs. The ones that are the most boring have to be the Arceans, i dont think they made me chuckle yet. The torians are kinda boring too.
the torian "did you enjoy the red ball we sent you" message really pissed me off. >:(
they were probably looking at the button on top of your portrait so they could tell how much of your trade comes from them...
'Pineapple Programmer' !?! Dear god, no!
why not? as my friend told me, a guide told him the ready to eat pineapple will have blond hair, round eyes, and firm bottom... btw, hawaii i want to dl a copy of your galciv writer but should i get the base 1.0 and then the latest patch or ALL the patches? thanks.

i put my responses under your points papa:
#45 by Citizen Papa718thTFW - 6/14/2003 2:25:08 PM
I. Ships and invasions: 1. Transports the size of planets? One BILLION troops per transporter? Come on. 50 million (though it is still pushing the limits of believable) is more like it if you rack-pack soldiers in stasis pods. earth is fairly two dimensional. ships are 3 dimensional and can pack them in more easily. in stasis pods, you merely need a 1

you might want to post on the main forum too. the mod forum is a bit less popular and i don't even look at the sticky thread titles since there are so many of them that my eyes just race over them. a little advertising can go a long way with galciv mods ;)
How can I stop the AI from asking me for more money than I have?
one of the best ways is to simply have a big enough fleet that they ai can't invade without it thinkning it will suffer heavy losses. so a fair number of offensive ships and your basic defenses. overall you should be fairly high on the military ranking list. a fun way is to bribe other nations to take down the ai bully. especially their major training partners. if you can get a lot of them to do i
are there any screenshots? it would probably be easier for people to decide to d/l the mod if they saw a few cool sceenies.
btw i love your jar jar event! negative response to plea for help: I can't get involved. I've got work to do.
do yo have the original email with the serial num? otherwise, good luck in your quest...
more diplomacy: We're fine. We're all fine here...now...thank you. How are you? You should not have come back. Your cheap jedi mind tricks will not work on me, boy. You're a fiesty little one, but you'll soon learn some respect I hope so, [human], for your sake. Don't get all mushy on me Your overconfidence is your weakness Your powers are weak, old man The great [drengin/arcean etc leader]will now listen to your pleas you slimy piece of worm-ridden filth. you'll get no such pleasure from us. it seems the devs tend to avoid any tactics that allow the ai to cripple you in only a few turns. probably a good idea. it would be greatly annoying if the ai saved up constructors and pulled the 50 culture bombs trick while you were going for an alliance or tech victory and couldn't counter in time. i remeber they said that the ai at first used antimatter missiles too efficiently and used them to smash the player in one turn.
population is only taxpayers, right? non taxpayers aren't counted.
i asked who to burn in effigy and was directed to this thread. :) had no problems submitting before. this time i did but no score showed up since ~1:00am est when i submitted. i had my zonealarm firewall popup asking me to let galciv access the internet and i said ok. the popup confirmation showed.
my metaverse submission didn't show up :( i have a cable modem, and zonealarm firewall. when zonealarm asked if i should let galciv contact the internet i said ok. the new popup confirmation appeared saying my game was submitted. who should i burn in effigy for this?
they got the old version listed somewhere in the encyclopedia. one of these days i am going to ask them to link to the new improved version...
