I understand what you guys are getting at. You would like a chance to formally declare war. I was trying to genaralize. To me, building up your forces or sending a fleet of warships to surround a planet is a good way of stating your intentions. But, using the WWII example, didn't Germany just march into Poland and that started the whole thing? Bill ~SDC~

A button to "threaten" war is more appropriate than a button to just "declare" it. The reason being I cannot think of an actual battle that was declared before an attack. Throughout human history, there has been threats, buildups, and then finally someone fires the first shot. Curiously similar to how GC handles things. ;) Bill ~SDC~

I believe one of the reasons why multiplayer isn't an option was that it would take way too long between turns. Can you imagine waiting around for an hour or two waiting to see what the other 5 guys had in mind for this turn? (Remember, this is turn based.) Bill ~SDC~

I have DX9 installed already, but I didn't get the CD, only the download. Interestingly enough, turning the background loading to "on" actually made it so the cursor is more visible. Not perfect, but at least I don't have to guess so much any more. This is really weird... Bill ~SDC~

You know, I was just thinking that the problem also bears resemblance to what you see when your cursor moves over a window that is updating. Like, for example, when your cursor moves over a status bar, or the file move animation. Bill ~SDC~

I have a problem where I can't easily see the mouse cursor. It flashes occasionally, as if it isn't being refreshed properly, but when the game is "thinking," the cursor appears just fine. Anyone have an idea of what's happening? I have an AMD Athlon 950MHz CPU and an Nvidia GeForce TI4200 with driver 42.01. Thanks! Bill ~SDC~
