I'll list those I know of: - Civ Capital: food 16 (12 in previous version), morale 40% (25%), - Initial Colony: production 16 (12), maintenace cost 12 (14), - Logistics cost of medium hull 5 (4), - Logistics cost of large hull 7 (6), - Colony module helds 250M pop (500), - Trading less extreme, - AIs like Luck trait (in my curent maso game 7 of 9 have it). Please post here if you find sth.

Hi! I've just been to the GC2 wiki, and most of the pages have the bare minimum of text... The numbers and formulae behind this game are too complicated and not documented properly. So how are WE supposed to write those formulas? I did correct some pages, but for each formula it takes several days to do all the needed testing to post any approximately reliable result. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Mad.gif" border=0 align="absmid

Hi! Geez, look at all the undocumented changes! Colony ship capacity, capital city food, and now this! You forgot the +4 production and -2 maintenance for Initial Colony. BR, Iztok

Hi! Probably not. If you'd try anyway, be sure you archive the previous version of the game before patching it with beta. There's no "rollback" once you patch it, and don't have the archive. BR, Iztok

Hi! For example, if you have military spending to 40% and social spending to 40%, but no social project, it will act as if military spending was 80% on that planet... Vice-versa if you had a social project but no ships queued. I'm sorry, but with my game DA 1.6beta5 and all previous versions of the game I can not confirm that transfer of unused military production to social. The transfer goes only from unused social into military. <br/

Hi! Maybe I don't understand, but if I have a plaent with 10,000 RP's, i would have a technological victory in no time. They play for score, not just for victory. BR, Iztok

Hi! There may be another way to go around that by giving a player one "free" building before he starts But that doesn't fix it for loading a save game, and it's not truly addressing the problem. I see. And giving the player the possibility to finish buying/production at each load could lead to even greater abuse. Sorry, I rarely reload, so I forgot that part of the "bug". BR, Iztok

Hi! I have not estimated how long it might take to fix this bug as I am not done investigating it yet. There may be another way to go around that by giving a player one "free" building before he starts - game just needs to ask him what he wants on his HW and puts one factory, lab, morale or financial building (or nothing) on (proper) tile, and OFC subtracts a proper amount of money from his treasury. Hi! Help me develop my strategy please Ugh! I could easily write you 10 pages of advices, and would still not be even close to covering every possible path. Way too many variables and such. Since you wrote a pretty detailed grand strategy, I assume you have some knowledge of the game. So I'll just suggest you to start a normal difficulty game (sub-optimal

Hi! In cases where I know I have a 10% diplomatic advantage I am getting a 20:1 ratio for cash for tech trades. Just 10% diplo advantage is too low to be called an advantage. For making money through trade you need 100%+ advantage. But even with such high numbers you'll not be able to pry lots of money from poor AIs. They seems to determine the amount of BCs for a trade by a percentage of their money: two exactly the same civs, but one with 5000 BC in tre

Hi! There are several different calculations for different versions of GalCiv. What is the current population formula / method for DA? Did not change since GC-2 1.1. Check wiki under Illustrative numbers - version 1.1. BR, Iztok

What is a good ratio to use when giving ship defenses, 2 Att/1 Deff or something else? Mostly defenses, or not a single defense, that's the way to buid ships in DA. With defenses your single ship has to have at least 75% of defenses as your opponent's fleet has attack (ofc. higher is better, and defenses have to match his weapons' type). If you can match that, your ships will take in combat only little damage, but will destroy lots of opponent's fleets.

Hi! the highest DA world I've heard of was a PQ26. That's by design and valid for ALL GalCiv games, from the original one on OS/2. Game generates planets up to class 26. Everything over it is generated by racial PQ bonus and various events. BR, Iztok

Hi! This AAR is for those who crunch numbers or want to. Are you sure you're crunching the numbers in the right way? Can you confirm your manufacturing capital generates additional bonus to production from 100% production bonus tile it is built on? I can't and it never did. Can you confirm the military production is added to social without using focus? I can't. How do you know the +20% "undocumented" bonus (that you get from two starti

Hi! So how do I get the highest level of intelligence for a given race, now that the espionage slider has disappeared {sarcasm}Easily. Just put 20 spies on their planet(s) and in 20 turns you'll have it. {/sarcasm} Seriously, in current DA version that's almost impossible for more than one race, because other races will nullify your spies, and you'll need to spend tens of thousands of BCs for new spies to get to that advanced espionge level. <im

Hi! How can I send my agents on missions? If you have a free spy, click a planet of a mayor AI, then the Spy button at the bottom of the screen. Now click a building on the Spy pane and click Place agent. Please note that some buildings are immune to spying. And there's no point using spies on any other "wonder" buildings but manuf., research and econ. capitals. Now each turn (while you have an active spy) you get a small chance you'll steal a ra

Hi! I'm sorry, you all probably hate me by now Why should I hate you? For a piece of information I regarded wrong the first time I've seen it? C'mon, for a hate you'd need to do something that would really hurt me. What you lost is credibility. When you'll post something about the game, and someone who remembers this topic will be reading it, he'll say "Ah, that guy..." You'll need to work HARD to gain the trust back. But teenagers
