Hi! i don't exactly know how to make BC what makes it? BC is an acronym for Billion Credits and represents money in this game. The primary source of it is taxation of your empire's population. You can get more money by several other means: - from exploring anomalies, - researching a tech branch of econ-enhancing techs and buildings, - researching a government branch tree, that gives 10%, 20% and 30% econ bonus, - mining a green resource(s)

Hi! Check this thread: NLC's and Industrial Sectors broke my economy . Despite the misleading title there's the morale explained in it's full. BR, Iztok

Hi! Anyone else not had any Mega Events in their DA games? In all my games I got "spies gone nutty" event once, and "speed limit 5" once. Oh, and a Jagged knife pretty early in the game, but I reloaded the autosave game, because I lost a planet that was 2 turns before finishing Terraformer "wonder". BR, Iztok

Hi! I've found there is plenty I can do about it. I'm militaristic, too. So can you get rid of that minus in relations by some other means besides killing them? BR, Iztok

Hi! Any advice?? Not for the current game, besides take that as an opportunity to build proper infrastructure on your planets, and get better tech, and only then deal with peacekeepers. For the next one game disable Mega events. BR, Iztok

Hi! So I finally won my first game of GalCiv2... Congratulations! It was not so hard as it seemed to you in your first posts! I dominated this last game, but I'm tired for now. I don't see how you guys do it, so often. There are some Speedy Gonzaleses, but most of us play quite slow - a game or two per month. So don't b

Hi! Is there any way to set the Auto Survey feature to ignore wormholes? I regularly check my survey ships for wormhole presence. If it is close and I don't want my ship to enter it, I turn autosurvey for that ship off. At the end of its turn I turn it on to see where the next anomaly is, I send ship in that direction, and turn off autosurvey again. In close quarters (many AI survey ships close - what's most of my games <img src="http://images.stardock.co

Hi! Only my first DA game was with tech trading on. When I saw that it still enables quite a cheese game play, I turned it off again. Since I don't get such a good trade offers from AIs as they make among themself, is that just another reason the tech trade stays off in my games. But quite often I also feel sorry for that: there are techs that are in some situations absolutely necessary, but many AIs just ignore them. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Mad.gif" border=0 ali

Hi! anyone know what the "-" in diplomacy for "militaristic" stems from? In lots of games I had next to nothing military, but they had that "minus" in relations. So I'd say that they are militaristic, and AFAIK there's nothing you can do about. BR, Iztok

Hi! Test 6, Pass 40% errors 5120. Run a test for each RAM separately. A full test for 512MB on your comp will probably take about 30 minutes. If there are serious errors, they'll show in a first minute or two of the test. If you find errors, try installing that RAM in a different slot and test again. Moosetek's advice is good, reseating will physically remove the oxydized layer on contacts. But in my case at home the failing RAM was the second s

Hi! Rather than nerfing any of the existing super abilities I think the less than great super abilities need to be buffed up. Loking at Super Anihilator throgh this perspective, I have to agree. Those abilities should be someting SUPERior . With current settings Super Spy isn't even close, Super Dominator is weak, and at maso+ the Super Diplomat can't do much more than any other player with high diplomacy. BR, Iztok

Hi! Super Breeder is superior to spore ships in every way. Ermmmm, which one, besides lots of population, that gives some more cash? My point was: using Super Anihilator advanatages is cheap. Way cheaper than Super Breeder. This is just an anecdotical evidence, but I've played and abandoned a suicidal Super Breeder game, because I had there only population, and nothing else (besides bad luck with gaining tech through invasion and "war expanding

Hi! Empty starbase hull could get a capability to manufacture its modules (an "Initiall colony" building in space, with ~5 points of military production only), and you'd upgrade it like a planet: by double-clicking on various available modules you'd put them in SB build queue. Money for production would be deducted (like for planets) from the treasury. BR, Iztok

Hi! if you're willing to forego engines, you can fit colony & constructor modules on small ships right from the game beginning If you're willing to forego most further planets out there, go for colonizers without engines. Small/tiny hull with low speed is good only for close or already taken stuff. BR, Iztok

Hi! Currently I'm playing a small maso game with Korath. IMO I have the easiest game of all maso games I played. The main reason is Spore ship. What advantages it gives? 1) no matter what population the attacked planet has, it's all destroyed --> no need for invasion tech(s), --> no need for lots of troops --> no need for high growth --> very high taxes possible. 2) no matter what environment the attacked planet has, it's conve

Hi! Drengin Super Dominator - this ability is a waste of time Not in small very-slow-tech games. Those free corvetes are still dangerous in a third year of my game. Drengin kept throwing them at altarians' small/medium hulls with 15-25 missile attack, no defenses, and slowly grinded them down. What about extortig money? Anybody tried it? Is it easier, or is tailored to diplomatic ability? BR, Iztok

Hi! perhaps the absense of an "Alliance" option indicates that I'm experiencing a bug? IMO not. The alliance option shows only when you're "close". I'd say it has to do something with small random abilities AIs get each game. I especially remember a case with Humans, where I've wiped out all remaining civs, and they've been my main trading partner through the whole game. Always friendly, never close, despite I had about a dozen of "pluses" and

Hi! Not sure if defense bug is fixed or not Not in the available 1.6 beta. My point-defense defended mediums (PD 28) are destroying drengin's superdominator corvetes as easily as my armored mediums (A 32), taking 1-2 points more damage on average. Since fleets of drengin have ~15 mass attack from 4 ships, my PD defended ships should be dead in first battle, not winning the fourth. BR, Iztok

Hi! You need to have (besides trade routes and a treaty or two) also strong military, preferably stronger than they have, to get "close" relations. BR, Iztok

Hi! The colony ships always were flying straight to the next habitable planet, but there always was a way they could have seen the planet before. I still think they are cheating, though. IMO there's an (unwanted) glitch in the code, that alows the AI to see what I've revealed. That would explain my (quite rare though) experience, when I found in a late early game a galactic resource in far "backyard" of one AI, and sent there my constructor to claim it. B

Hi! I can offer you just a few suggestions that could more precisely locate your problem: - get memtest86 and let it run for two hours to find if you have a faulty memory; - get Speedfan program and check if your comp if overheating; - physically open your box and touch different components to find if they're very hot; - get a hard disk test program from the disk's manufacturer web site and let it run in full mode to find disk errors; - get the latest drivers from the net

Hi! each turn looking like this: -2k, -1.9k, -1.8k, etc. etc. I see your point. But you're talking about -2k, he's talking about -45k. I see only one possibility to go at once so far in debt: massive ship upgrading. Also, even if he'd lease-buy those ships, would the already-active leases and initiall buy-cost ate away the existing 5000BC really fast. But looking at his preferred difficulty level another question arrises: at what difficulty level
