Hmm .. well it was worth a shot but sounds like you're way ahead of me there. Sorry, that's all I can think of. Maybe someone else will have more ideas

If you right click on the desktop and look at 'arrange icons by' menu, you will see 'show desktop icons'. Uncheck that and it should hide all your desktop icons.
Try re-installing the program, that can fix missing file problems, sometimes.
BoXXi, should be on the way. You are welcome
MadIce has an excellent doc on XP taskbar skinning. It is written for WB 3.x but covers the taskbar and all the related components (Start Button, grips, taskbuttons, tray) very well. I had a problem with a skin I was working on where the tray arrow kept coming out black and following his suggestions really helped. I've got a copy or you might see about contacting him.
Maybe this a already a feature but it doesn't seem to work if so. Mouseovers on scrollbar buttons? I believe the image state says every 4th image for the buttons is the mouseover image but it doesn't seem to change in actual use. Could be I'm missing something.
I hope the Easter bunny comes and hides lots of treats!!
Hmm ...for some reason it left out part of my post. In the argument ypur user name should be in between the double backslashes. example: C:\Documents and Settings\pictoratus\Start Menu\Programs\
Here's a workaround for Start Menu. Link: explorer.exe Arguments: C:\Documents and Settings\\Start Menu\Programs\ This will put you at your programs folder. There will still be a little navigation involved depending on how deep the particular program you want is but it beats nothing.
There is a very old form of painting on cloth or fabric. The finished work was called a pictoratus. Ok, so I thought, making a skin, applying color to an existing canvas, so to speak. I don't know, maybe it's a leap, but in the immortal words of Felix the Cat "That sounds logical"
umm ... I'm user level 3, a citizen, bought a product and I can rate (at least there is a place to on the comments pages. Maybe it doesn't really do anything) Am I just lucky?
This is one super program!! I hardly ever use the taskbar anymore (it autohides) and the new features are great!
I believe Latin filtered down into a lot of languages. At one time, the Roman culture was the dominate culture of the so called 'civilized' world and, as a result, it's words became emeshed into other cultures. Not that that amounts to a hill of beans
Yes, some are demos or limited feature, but still do a lot. Also they are very inexpensive to get the full versions.
Most of the programs for the skins here are at https://www.stardock.com
squirlze I'm new at this too, but do what I do. Follow Jess' suggestions, watch the board cause you'll see questions that ppl post and can learn a lot that way. Above all be friendly and constructive. You'll get a lot of help that way. I know I have
Absolutely, I agree
Thanks, werewolf That looks like it will do just fine!
Does anyone know if there is an ObjectDock icon for SkinStudio out there? I did a search and didn't find one. /me can't stand fuzzy icons
DreamWeaver is a realy nice program for making single pages or whole sites. Take a look at macromedia.com
