Heard of AmigaOS and ReactOS I'll throw in NetBSD, although technically it a derivative of Unix, but then so is Linux

Hmm .. if the one I sent won't work for you, let me know. Be glad to redo it and send it again.

No one else is playing the race card ... they probably realize someone has to play it before it (race) becomes a moot point.. Moot Point! ... danger Will Robinson! [e digicons]XD[/e]
I wonder what "Global Warming" was called last time the earth went into a climate change.
It was called Global Cooling. I think were warned about the impending end of 'life as we know it' for that one as well. Happened in the '70s didn't it? [e digicons]XD[/e]
People hate her because she's more conservative ...
What is the difference between hating someone you don't know personally because of their political affiliations and hating someone you don't know personally because of some other group affiliation such as sex, race, religion, etc.? If it becomes morally acceptable to hate based on political affiliation, is it a stretch to believe hatred due to other affiliations may become ok as well?
I think it depends on where an individual's priorities lie. Is the first of three scheduled political debates more important? Or finding a solution as quickly as possible (assuming one exists) to "one of the most serious financial crises in this nation’s history"? For some, this first debate is "... exactly the time that the American people need to hear from the person who in approximately 40 days will be responsible for dealing with this mess.." <
The hate is somewhat expected; a few vocal members of the left haven't been shy about proclaiming their hate for 'people different from them' for quite some time. It's the fear I wonder about. I don't recall seeing near the number of people announcing their fear of a political candidate (actually, I can't think of any before Palin).
What happened to the Social Contract? You know....the realization and committment to the fabric of "We will care for eachother" and the realization that without our committment to eachother's welfare we have a predatory, all consuming horde of ravenously greedy animals not humans?
I believe the absence, in part, is the 'I gave at work' syndrome. As Government has 'taken' (taken, because it was never part of this country's founder's plan) on the role of gi
Holy War? Now that's a stretch. Is it what she (and many others) feel is the right thing to do, based on that inner voice some call God, some call conscience, some call a higher power ... basically whatever passes for for a moral compass in each individual ..., in a given situation? Most probably. To amplify one group's (or person's) belief system into a diabolical mountain of a plot is at best disingenuous or at worst biased and inflammatory.
Pic, while there maybe those who have shown utter contempt here, I think the majority of comments are tongue in cheek and should not be taken too seriously... often it's a bit of levity to lighten the mood when things start getting too heavy.
No doubt. A bit of levity always tends to defuse a tense situation ... as does calling out inappropriate behavior (at least in civilized company) ;)
So caught up in a blaze of slander and smear campaigning, the real issues are muttled in the murk of cameras and lies.
Excellent point!
One can argue the points given.. not attack the ones delivering them.
It's a pity the candidates themselves aren't given the same civility. Unfortunately, it has become 'cool' to launch personal attacks on the candidates appearance, speech, dress, imagined sexual preferences/habits and any other non-political issue related item to try to paint them with as much shit as possible with the intent of making them unworthy of a vote.
when I change the world it will be by changing other people...that's all someone really can do.
No one really ever 'changes' another person; not in the sense of moving other people to the position you desire or feel is best. The only real change you can effect is within yourself. Only when others see a preferable position in you, do they 'change'.
Sent it! Thanks
For some reasons the "Last Update" date changes constantly, which isn't logical at all.
Impulse has been doing this for quite some time now. Makes it very difficult to determine if an update is really 'new'; especially when SDC may have a newer version number with an older date. [e digicons]:omg:[/e]

Until legislation, rules, and regulations (and also the Media) stop focusing on race (thereby grouping everyone into their respective cabals), there will always be a state or national mandated divisiveness that pits one group against another ... the haves and the have nots, if you will, in terms of job opportunities, school admissions, etc., etc., etc. The nationally and, to a somewhat lesser degree, societal enforced 'race colored glasses' impede a culturally ready nation eager to mo
