There is something troublesome to me about giving them a pass in such circumstances, on the assumption they were trying to 'help' us, since opacity and paternalism in such matters only end up compounding the problem, a fact for which there is ample recent evidence.
Trying to prevent anyone from correcting the impending fallout by claiming 'All is well' to 'prevent a panic' really didn't work out so well. And frankly, I don't buy that as a motive, at least in the
Way way too superficial and trying to get in tune with 'joe six-pack' during the debate imo. Thisissomething I have see a couple of times and still don't understand. Whydoes it bother people that she was trying to relate to us joe/jane regular people? Let's be realistic here, we don't normally see politicians as average joes like us and we always complain about it, now that she is somewhat one of us and wants to show it, people complain? I just don't get it. I guess people like to

What it boils down to is that neither party was competent enough to correct the problems that led to the current situation. The Democrats didn't believe a problem even existed and the Republicans couldn't come up with (much less pass) a plan solve those problems. Now those same brainiacs have just passed a huge bill to 'fix' (wink, wink, nod) this mess. Which leads one to believe that Government really ought to stay out of the private sector; they are such horrible businessmen. <

I know you're too young to have heard him speak, but LBJ would have driven you crazy, Zoo There were many that thought he was not an intelligent, crafty politician based on his manner of speaking (a hayseed, if you will), but he is considered by many as one of the most effective Senate Majority leaders we've had in Congress. Point being, judging someone based on their speech patterns or pronunciation skills can often be not only incorrect in terms
Do you see anyone who actually supports Moore's plan?
In this thread, no. But that is the basic premise of both the progressive tax structure and MM's plan. Choose one 'class' of citizen and apply different criteria in respect to what percentage or amount of their personal property (money) is owed to the Federal Government without regard to individual circumstance ... effectively making assumptions and judgments based on class.
bigot -is a prejudiced person who is intolerant of any opinions differing from their own or intolerant of people of different ethnicity, race, or class. Let's ask the 'poor' to work an additional (additional in the case of those
state intervention in the economy would be a betrayal of the very creed of Burkeian conservatism represented in the strand of Reaganomics.
Actually it would go back to Adam Smith and is seen as a further advancment of the economic ideas of John Maynard Keynes. But using the term 'Reaganomics' is so much more inflammatory in current times. ;)
and just where does this happen? if you have specific knowledge (not some rumor you've heard) relay it to the proper authorites immediately.
You really should read/view the news more. There have been hearings/reports on so called 'after-birth' abortions. One nurse recently gave information about her experiences. In a nutshell, after forced birth abortions (saline injections, I believe), some babies are delivered still alive and are sent to a room

Is MS can overcome two of the major shortcomings that occurred with Vista's release ... spotty hardware support and OEMs selling 'Vista Ready' machines with 1GB RAM (or less) ... the new OS should go over well. The hardware support they should be able to either build in or work with OEMs/manufacturers to avoid. OEMs selling memory deficient boxes? MS may not have as much pull there.

When someone says and thinks that 'The average person is too stupid to do the right thing', it is just saying that 'other people don't hold the same world view as I do so 'those' people must be stupid not to see things as I do and since I am correct in my world view (therefore undoubtably smarter), I need to point out, explain, control, or otherwise coerce all those stupid people to see and do things correctly (my way)'. In reality, those 'stupid' people just hol
