Hello all, Well since they squashed our beloved PQ bonuses to 5%, I was wondering what you guys NOW think, is the best starting bonus is. I've tried a game with Economy bonuses all around but got my ass whooped (tiny, abundant map). Then I tried Industrialists with Social and Military production maxed out which worked out fine for me, finishing the game straight through. I was wondering what some of you have been picking for bonuses and how it's worked out in your games. Thanks

Hello again! I don't believe this was discussed yet but what do you guys think is the best political party bonus. After some thought....it has to be, in general The Federalists. With 20% Economics, you just can't go wrong as money pretty much jacks up everything. While certain other bonuses may meet your specific needs that help your specific strategies, MOney just makes the GalCiv world go around. ~SDC~

Thanks for all your replies and apologies for the slow resonse (busy). After reading all your replies, getting good nights rest and a fresh start, I realized I am doing one stupid thing. I'm not giving into thier threats. lol. doh. I really should be paying them off, I've just been too cocky in thinking that I could take them on. Hehe I guess sleep deprivation makes you do wierd things. Oh well. Thanks again for your tips. Hereeeeee we go again! LOL ~SDC~

Hello folks, I've been playing the settings above which I think may be the hardest. Needless to say I am getting my ass handed to me on a silver platter, with caviar and fine wine lol. PQ 15% + pop growth 10% just doesn't cut it anymore. Since I don't have too much time to invest in the game, I would appreciate any quick tips. There's always one race that has my number. Your posts are appreciated. tired....hungry....losing sleep...I hate this game...no one more turn!!! :sniff!: ;p

Ash, Sure it's up to you, but I found it fun to do cuz I was evil, there were 3 goody goodies attacking me, and I was waiting for my terror stars to spead my culture. Like I said, up to you, it's just something I found useful since there are bonuses to be gained. :D

hello! (please forgive me for those who already knew) Wanna change you alignment? Just keep building colony ships, load 1 mill colonists, keep colonizing (preferably when you are the most powerful, and on a colony you don't care much for since some events seem to affect the whole system), then destroying to get the morals events. Now, I don't know if this is a good thing, YOU decide. It IS kinda fun playing "evil" me, then loading up "good" me to play an alternate ending. SAVE YOUR GAME

Hello folks, (please forgive me for those who already knew =P) This is what I like to call the Terror star drop. Take 13-14 contructors (by then you should have a slew of tech), drop them by a near by enemy planet that you aren't at war with, build your terror star with all the terror upgrades, cultural upgrades and defense upgrades. Then watch the planet turn to you side in just a few turns! (best to do on a alot of planets in the same sector, without any cultural monuments) Beats the
