Hello. Thanks for making such a great game and supporting it with patches! I've played Gal Civ a lot and I'm looking forward to playing Gal Civ 2 even more! I have a suggestion however. Would it be possible in the options for automatic ship movement (like auto-explore and so on) to include an option for any colonize ship to automatically go out and colonize? On larger maps this might

www.blender.org Great 3D modeling and rendering program that is open source. Check it out. :)
I think the reason that's it's so hard for them to allow modding and creativity is beacause of the AI. Right now it's TOP NOTCH but if you add all kinds of "different" creative material, the AI probably won't be able to handle it.
Would it be possible for somebody to put together some of the great tutorials and information that's been talked about here on the website into a .pdf file for download on stardock? It'd be really useful and I think a lot of people would use it. Just a suggestion. :)
-To appease some of the people who think the combat system needs to be more advanced maybe you could add the ability to have ships automatically attack or automatically move somewhere and attack anything they see. This way you could launch an entire fleet against a race and not have to worry about micromanaging. -More espionage options, better display of espionage data, more graphs and less scrolling through that long list of data. I'd also like to see how my espionage and destabiliza
Yeah, you should add on to your existing program and make it so it supports more file types. It could be the end all editing program. :)
Yes!, someone else who uses VB6. :) If you mod Ghost Recon, check out Kit Constructor or Character Chooser. Two mod programs I'm really proud of making. :) Looks like a sweet program.
The original ships don't need to be replaced do they? Is it possible to just add more or are you guys thinking of a total conversion? :)
How can I take a screenshot ingame? Thanks.
Depends how they setup the modding folders and structure. It wouldn't be too hard to tell if you were running a mod or not. Then it could be counted towards the metaverse... or not. Also, they could do a system where the score is added or subtracted depending on the mod and what it offers. :)
With all the people who are having problems with SDC I would just like to say thank you for supporting this. IMO it's very frustrating to have to constantly check websites and forums to see if a patch is avialable for a game. Then you have to download it and run it and make sure the directory is correct and so on. It's a real pain. SDC is so easy because all you do is click a button and in a few minutes it's done. The game is patched and you're ready to play. A nice addition would be to ad
Are the starbase modules moddable? Is it possible to create more modules for them for upgrades? Thanks.
Will they be downloadable and updatable through stardock?
Is it possible to make the ship sprites higher quality. I'm sure that would make the game run slower but they would sure look cooler. :)
I think you should add an ability to select multiple ships. Making the fleets is great if you have them all in the same area but I want to be able to click on the ships list and select a bunch at a time and move them all instead of clicking on each one individually. Also, a nice addition would be when you click on a ship or a group of ships on the *info* button, there would be an option to add these ships to the bartering table for a selected race/minor race. That way I don't have to write do
On the options screen (when you press ESC)... there is an option to have background loading, what is that? Also, what is Active Gov. Ignores GNN? Thanks in advance. :)
The ships improve?! Wow, well... that's almost better. lol. ;)
Ok, thanks for the help :)
I haven't gotten GC yet. Couple more hours I hope, :) I have a suggestion however. From everything I've read, it doesn't sound like there are any Generals or Commanders who are running the battles or who are in command of the ships. It would be very cool if you had generals who had stats which you could then use to issue orders and move them around and so on. Just a suggestion. Cheers. ;) ~SDC~
Is there a single .exe or other type of file that has the entire game including the cinematics and media for those who opt for the download only option? If so, where do I go after I purchase the game? Thanks in advance. :) ~SDC~
Also, when I get GalCiv... does that give me unlimited downloads and updates for the future for just that game? Thanks! ~SDC~
OK dumb question. I want to buy GalCiv but does that mean I also need to buy a Drengin.net subscription just to see the game and register it? What does the Drengin.net subscription give you? Thanks for the help. :) ~SDC~
