Congrats for beating the games like Empire at War!
Can anyone from Stardock update on this? Please?
OK, according to my understanding I should have CE content enabled. But is there any way to check that it actually is enabled? I do not remember exact content of the ship components in regular version, can someone give a particular example of the ship component from CE version so that I could check and see that I did install everything correctly?
From another side, I do expect good documentation for this kind of game if I paid 40$ for it. I personally can not say that the existing documentation is sufficient for this game, and the purpose of this thread is just to stress the importance of the good documentation. I, for example, would prefer that they work on documentation rather than improve slider functionality, or other interface things. The interface I can get around, the absence of docume
On the other hand, I see no reason to use such terse language when asking for it. Stardock has gone to considerable lengths to be civil with its customer base. I did not mean to be in any way impolite. My direct statements is just a result of my frustration, and just venting out my emotions. I see a great p
don't mind if SD provides such a document . . . but isn't the point of playing a civ game to simulate a real civ? Learning as you go and stuff? I'd never open it. Where did you get that idea, that the goal is to simulate real civ? Do we have civs in space? N
Unfortunately, the manual, being nice and all, does not contain a lot of information, which I personally need to enjoy the game. I am talking about all those calculations that the game performs. Can SD supply us with exact formulas how the following things are calculated: Military/Social/Research production, including all bonuses from all sources, like civilization bonuses, tile bonuses moons, government bonuses, starbases and so on. When th
The best would be if we could determine military, social and research production for each planet. It is gameplay factor. It is a balance act that you have to do. You always can use focus if you want... but that will cost you. This is where the game interesting - you have to make those choices.
Yarlen, On the link you have provided I see only bonus pack (that is also available through SD central) and enablers. There are no CE bonus content there. Let me ask again, Is there separate download of CE which is not bonus pack and not "enabler"? Again, I am talking about CE content, NOT bonus pack NOT "enabler ". Is there such a thing? Or is it included into bonus pack?
I think I have read somewhere, that they are going to put it back in the future...
SD, PLEASE ANSWER THIS: Is CE content included into patch/bonus pack for everyone who have digital version and you just need to enable it by running the enabler? Or is CE content has to be downloaded separately, an only then enabled with the "enabler"? I do not see anything called "Special Edition" in my game, so I do not know if I have it or not... I am not interesting in desktop part, only in in-game part. It is very easy question, but I still can not see the answer...
Yes, but if I did not try to buy the ship, I would spend normal time building it (I think)
I think this depends on situation. You should have intelligence in order to see what is your opponent building. I think you more often end up building the same weapon against the same opponent. Until the opponent starts using the appropriate shields.
In the beginning you are given 3 constructor, this is one of the keys. Put spending to 100% build labs, startports and factories on each planet and that's it. Build 2 colony ships, colonise 2 planets (try to take south-most planets) you will lose one. That is fine. Do not build more colony ships, let AI to expand (I was playing on normal, so they expend fine) Let them do all the fighting. Build you military instead, but do not fight. Stay i
When I captured the planet (in campaign) a planet screen popped up to chose the staff. I chose the trooper and then wanted to buy it. However in the buy screen the cost for it was 0bc. So I paid 0bc and got the trooper on the next turn. I suspect this planet was building something and when I have captured it, I could somehow use those mp, even though they were not visible otherwise. Is it bug? Or is this supposed to be like this?
Currently it seems that I have to chose the opponents when I start the game. Is there way to have random opponents, so that I do not know who else is in the galaxy from the begining?
Not if you purchased the electronic download via Stardock. In that case you can enter your serial number in the "Serial Number" space (and still get the download). In my case I didn't even need to do that as my forum account was somehow already linked to my serial (maybe because I had created a metaverse character already?) and I
I think you suppose to download the patch through the SD interface now, not through the website
Does anyone know if the issue is resolved with the patch?
is this issue resolved in the patch?
MxM111, I'm at a loss then. You'll need to email [email protected]. It's beyond my knowledge. Sorry. I have sent e-mail to [email protected]. Thank you anyway for your time, Frogboy
It is interesting that StarDock is active on this board, YET it does not acknowledge this problem. Though I am sure that they have seen this thread. I wonder why. Any conspiracy theories?
By the way, I have strong suspicion that if the ship has two types of defence, then the strongest one is used, not the sum of them. The reason why I say is that in the battle I see that if the laser is used against my ships, then only deflectors are used in the battle history list - you can see that the deflectors are bright, and the other shields/armor are dark. Can anyone confirm that? If so, then there is no reason to design the ships wit
Do you mean whatever the attack value, if defense is 0, then damage will be one? Do you mean defense 0 (=no defenses) or defense rolls a 0? I mean defence is 0 (and thus roll always 0). But in order for the ship to always take damage, the attack has to start always from one. I h
