I agree on the resource extractor points and the PHC factories look very similar at the moment, though I believe the armoury is currently still temporary art. I don't know what global ability building is which should I scout a base but that is just because I haven't played it enough. I can't agree with the defence buildings though, they are reasonably distinctive to me. Do you play on quite low graphics options so they are less distinctive? It wouldn't lessen your point, just
My perception is that people who buy games on GOG are not especially interested in MP anyway, so no big loss as far as interconnectivity? Am I wrong? Are GOG purchasers going to be interested in ranked MP automatch for Ashes?
There might be a slight trend in that direction but more people will be simply chasing the cheapest price, or like to support GOG, or like the idea of the DRM free game etc., not thinking it will r

As said on the Steam store page the minimum supported resolution for the game is 1600x900 so you are less than that. You could try reducing the UI in the game settings to see if that helps.

I just clicked on "recent reviews" on Steam and I think all the recent negative reviews mentioned a delay in command giving or unit response. Though there is definitely an issue, there is a part of it that may be perception. Have you tried allowing units the ability to turn on the spot much faster and accelerate to their top speed very fast/instantly so people can see the units respond to their commands? Sometimes the units turn so slowly you are not sure

I agree with tats on this. People will often hold down the right mouse button a bit too long as they are thinking and pondering things as they order units. It's like chess, where you keep your hand on the piece as you consider if it is the right move or not. If there is any chance this gets misconstrued as a grab the map then that is a bad design setup there. You also know this game pushes a lot of people's systems so why would you want to have such a design where lag could possibly c

I am afraid you have been pounding on the worst AI in your match making games :) I have given up for the time being as it is no fun playing them. Also MP games between people have crashed a lot so that is frustrating. I want some meaty MP games with several players to test how things really work in the wild but apart from one good 1v1 it hasn't really happened yet.

I really think the Devs need to watch at least the first 20 minutes of this guys video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAQbbwRrf5o He is playing the game for the very first time and it might help your UI guys and tutorial design guys see what the average person sees when they play for the first time. Clicking on nodes really should give some info. When selecting the Hades you shouldn't be able to see a factory like UI underneath. Factories reall

I couldn't select anything at all and as you can see the UI is full of factory icons. We reloaded and it worked but I did see the same full of factory images U

You can close it by clicking on the name "Strategic map" or whatever it is called in the top right corner. Worked for me anyway. When the space bar didn't work it is the first thing I tried, took all of 5 seconds. If you want to be taken seriously all of your shouting and ranting isn't doing you any favours.

I understand permanent wreckage will come later. Craters would be cool. One thing I would love before then is for the aircraft to actually blow up and their bits to fly out. If they disintegrate as they hit the ground that is fine. TA and the SupComs have this (well most RTS) and it looks fantastic and adds a lot to the atmosphere and fun. Fizzling out just doesn't do it for air I think.

I don't have a problem with the size of them, though I understand you are not alone in that regard and being a little bigger would be fine too. I do agree though that it is not clear enough whether you have something built on the metal extractors or not. Also agreed on the power amplifier for the Substrate being too small and blending into the background too much.

Just watched a video and was reminded of a few other things: Bombers are currently able to stop and turn on a dime, looks very odd and probably not good for game play too as I think turning circles are good for planes. Not sure if happens with fighters. I think the Pan can get away with it though. At the moment when you start zooming out the rocket weapon effects disappear long before the laser/plasma effects. It looks like the artillery units/Smarties aren't firing so I f

You can also close the Strategic map/overview by clicking on the name Strategic Map (or whatever it is) near the top right corner of the strategic map/overview. I found that out when space did not work to close it.

All very good points. Factory Pause and ability to see range when placing things are a big must. I was expecting the orbital strike to be a nuke. But at the moment it is just a few blue lines which hit things with pinpoint accuracy, really lacking in epic ooomph. I'll have to try again to check but I think they might be the same for both factions. The pinpoint accuracy one kinda fits the Substrate but a huge nuke like bomb would have fit the PHC. Obviously you need to have some ki

No, DX12 doesn't need AMD or Nvidia to do so much stuff like with SLI/CF but the devs have to do it themselves. First game doing it multi GPU with DX12 so I think they have had teething problems. The game still crashes sometimes now so best they get that sort of thing sorted before compounding it with multi GPU support. Having said that I would expect it soon, hopefully by Beta 2 maybe? One 7970 should be able to run it reasonably well in the meantime.

You could not sell it on GOG, at least until you have worked out a system where by Steam and GOG play nice for multiplayer. There are a lot of places you can get the game already. The more I think about it...unless you put it on the GOG page you are going to potentially get some major kick back from this, and either way I think it is going to hurt the multiplayer side of things. Anyway, I'll leave it there.
1. Steam and GOG multiplayer will not work together at launch. However, it is something we are looking at and researching for the future.
Ouch, that is a hell of a risk splitting the multiplayer community like that. That should be on the GOG purchase page if it isn't already. Multiplayer needs to hit a critical mass in numbers if it is going to survive. I don't have all the numbers but man I hope you weighted the p
Where did they say we would have 7vs7 battles? I've never seen that said any where.
On release it will be a max of 6 players, or 3v3 (with 1 observer), but they hope to gradually increase that number post-release. If we get to 7vs7 I wouldn't expect it for a while though. I imagine the numbers will go up in stages, primarily to make sure the tech works well in the wild so to speak, and also creates more e
