Do NOT sell day 0 DLC. Gamers and the gaming press will tear you apart. As others have said, this is not Starcraft. Starcraft has SP campaigns of very high production levels, a huge reputation behind it and a massive already in-place MP community. Ashes should stick to one price. If you really want to do one perhaps eventually do a collectors DLC with the game music and lots of developer art etc. or something for enthusiasts who like that sort of thing. <
So far, I have issues with being unable to upgrade my logistics and units. I haven't figured out how to achieve those points yet.
Not sure what you mean there. Do you mean you don't know how to do that in the game or that it is bugging out to stop you. Building Quanta arrays gets you more quanta which you then use to upgrade logistics and units. The more you build the faster you will get quanta. Access the upgrades options by wither cli
Very well written. I am meant to be doing something else right now so will just agree with one thing right now: I also wish all the units were individuals, when you can't select individuals there is a disconnect and you automatically have a sense/niggling feeling of not having full control. The more barriers to control (incl. fighting with the UI) creates a cumulative effect which risks creating a feeling of frustration and alienation with the game. &n
Somewhere you said you are living in Australia. I think you need to find some steam friends who play the game in that corner of the world. Maybe the US would be ok but I wouldn't know for sure. The only time I have had lag was when I was playing a guy who was in New Zealand and I am in the UK. When I lived in East Asia and played games with my brothers back in the UK there was a very narrow selection of games we could do because of lag issue. ARPGs (if they had a sever in
Very good video. For the very first deviation, where the new units went to the way point directly instead of joining up with the army and then going to the way point is actually behaviour I would like the option to have as in some instances it would make things much faster. Obviously in other scenarios it could be a disaster. The rest is obviously all unwanted/buggy behaviour. I would also like to be able to grab a few units from a meta group and have them do their own

From the information available at the moment it looks like Kaby will still be 4 core only so Skylake is likely to remain as is I would think. It also looks like Kaby will be out very late next year so if you want to wait for it then you may have to wait some time. I could be wrong on all of the above though as no one knows for sure.
Interesting, thanks for sharing. More and more research is revealing the importance of gut bacteria in many things. One of the downsides of using antibiotics is that it kills all the gut bacteria indiscriminately and we are only learning now what costs that might be bringing with it. Perhaps at some point there will be guides of what to eat or take after using antibiotics to bring some of that gut bacteria back in ideal ratios.
At some point it might be interesting to allow different type of defenders. Perhaps roaming ones or perhaps generators are guarded by a unique dreadnought. Will the defenders get their own models once we get the new race? Because at the moment i think they are a couple of the other races units. Hard to fit it in the law I suppose. Though they could be used to represent the native inhabitants of that planet. That might be a good way to introduce different types of defende
The nodes actually do glow in player color already, but it may be too subtle.
Yeah, a while after I had written it I realised you actually already have the foundation for that in place with the coloured swirling dots graphic. All you need to do is really let that shine/blaze more. It could be a nice effect. EDIT: Just to clarify, when I said,
- Form up a group and tell
You can try random start positions. That might mix things up a bit while you wait to be able to select starting positions.
few bugs and feedback. - Units not attacking enemy dreadnought right next to them. (until forced to do so) - Form up a group and tell them to go somewhere. The lead unit will go to clicked destination, the rest of the army will run the opposite way. - Control groups aren't staying together. Select all the units and make it army 1. A little later select army one and it only selects half of them. I am not sure if the non-sele
You build them on the node and it will double the resources from the resources associated with that node. E.g. 1 radioactive, or 3 metal etc. So if you capture a node with 3 metal: Capture node = +3 metal to income Put extractors on metal resources: +3. Now a total of 6 Add poweramplifer: doubles resources so: 6x2 = a grand total of 12 from that node That is how I believe it works.
New Desert Map: Open Range
You sure about this? I am in the game now and don't see it. I really want a lot more maps, not playing a whole lot in part to fear of growing bored of them. Hope we get a lot with the Beta. Thanks for the update though! Will check out the fancy explosions now...:)
I can't believe you wrote all that to be honest. There is no chance Ashes will beat the Witcher 3, no chance any RTS could. I have gone through that site and all those awards are just a popularity contest, there won't be an ounce of objectivity in it at all. I don't know anything about Splatoon but if I had to I could pick apart the other two as not being truly innovation or copying and borrowing things from other places if you really wanted to be picky. Ashes is on the wo
In addition, I have serious performance concerns with unreachable areas that you have to capture. This will be very expensive for the pathfinder, as it will be exhaustively searching for routes that do not exist.
Is that stuck in stone? From a logic/programming point of view I would think it feasible to remedy that.
At the moment it is the same as your Steam profile picture.
Is there a way to break the army?
Press "B". Both of these commands are also on the screen in the bottom middle, just mouse over them to see which ones. I agree it would be useful to be able to pull away a unit or two from an Army without disbanding the whole army. Perhaps Ctrl-left click to select units and make them independent again, or something along those lines.
Around the 1:30 mark there is no other viable strategy except building a quantum relay. Because if you do not build one as early as possible you hit the logistics cap and subsequently fall behind. That's a shame
I think having a range makes a lot of sense, even if it is quite an extended one. I don't have a problem if they don't miss. Plenty of the slower projectiles miss, having a guided missile makes a lot of sense, I mean, we have them now. (on a related side note, do air have counter-measures? Is that what they fire sometimes? If they are countermeasures would they not sometimes succeed in tricking the missile?)
Perhaps a blue and a purple along with a differing accompanying sounds could be sufficient. Perhaps slightly different lengths too? I have to say I haven't compared the two so am not sure how similar they are.

Thanks for your detailed reply, it's much appreciated. Sometime back Frogboy mentioned the target for the Beta was the 19th. Extrapolating from what you have said, if it is delayed it sounds like it too will be out before your holiday, so that's good too.
