Never mind, once I set Nvidia control panel to "prefer dedicated card", the issue went away. I'd delete my original post but I can't figure out how because I am dumb.

That was a pretty bad description. Let me try again: I got a gaming laptop. Works great on it. However, when I plug it into an external monitor via HDMI cable, and run AotS full-screen at the monitor's resolution (1920x1080), everything... shimmers? Someone else mentioned the difficulty in boxing units. Nothing feels terribly responsive, and the framerate is nothing to write home about, but I think it's fair to say the game generally performed and was playable. [quote] 3. Any other feedback
My first impressions were "ehh, seems like a standard TA-ripoff, and the controls are pretty clunky... Oh well, it's pre-alpha, who cares, I'll just fiddle around for a few minutes, turn it off and come back later." Except I didn't turn it off, and found myself playing giddily for the next hour and a half, gleefully fighting against the UI (not a typo), searching frantically for hotkeys, and making things explode without even noticing the time going by.
