Last night I died a couple of times in the early game, and my teammate started calling me names (using the "to ALL" option) in chat. (I don't die all that often, this was just a hard game and the other team were focus-firing on me when I'd show up. They even said so. Anyway, excuses aside...)
I've had that happen a couple times where I died a couple times quick and while I wasn't berated like you I feel bad about

A lot (most?) of games that I see dont' like newbies and newbies often get flamed. Now nothing wrong with wanting to have mostly pro's for a more competative match. I'm not a newbie anymore myself but I wouldn't consider myself a pro either. I still learn in every game (run!) and I hope I don't get flamed myself if I do a "noob" thing. BUT, we all have to learn somewhere. So I typically try to host custom games from time to time where newbies are welcom
Custom games are pretty quick. I hosted a 3v3 a little while ago and we were full up in less then a minute. Longest I've waited to get 6 players in perhaps 3-4 minutes. Next update is supposed to fix connecting to Skirmish and Parth games so that should be quicker as well.
Was that the game I was in? We had 2 players drop at the same time for some reason. No biggie.
All the time with Oak but not until later on. Play a proper minion build with 4-5 Morale levles and they do some devastating damage. You don't need to do all the damage yourself, which is the point of a General/minion build. If you're trying to play more as an assasain then no, Morale is a waste.
Also don't forget the Sigil of Vitality which gives a 50% boost to max health. In other words if base is 5000 using this will get you to 7500. There is no cheating going on here.
When you have 6 level 4 minions and nearly a dozen or so spirits surrounding you in a creep wave and with high enough Divine Justice your creeps even stay alive you can really push like crazy, especially if you have a UB teamate along for the ride in the wave to take on any DG's one on one with you assisting. But like others have said, there are several builds for each DG and they play to several play styles. But I would not recommend trying to make a "jack of all trades" build
Single play is pretty good and me not being big into multiplayer was satisfied. That is until I finally hopped online and found a whole new playing experience. Single play is still not bad for me but it's now more a playground to try new strats.
drool...... I am a map geek as well and I used to spend my bored time in high school making made up worlds with maps. I will love this feature for sure.
Over the weekend I've played several great 3v3 custom games. I was Regulus and I believe my team was Rook and Torch Bearer. Anyway, it was a very back and forth game, think took 45 minutes total. On Cataract map. The other team really pushed in and had attacked the Cit a few times. They had Cats. There was a lot of defense of the Cit and we leveled up a lot actually. My maxed out mines alone would wipe out dozens but more came. So at one poi
Great write up! I've been playing mostly Regulus and got sick of everyone else being Reg so I needed a change for a while. Oak when played by a good player always slaughtered me so I wanted to figure out how this guy works. By the way, I think anyone look for a counter to a DG should actually play that DG to see what makes it tick. The biggest issue with this build is that it can be weak until level 5 or so if you keep getting charged by DGs in your lane. Thus you ca
Yea, I wouldn't want Karma to be all or mostly user generated, that's seems like a huge area of abuse. But yea, something like completed games give karma, early quits that aren't disconnects subtrace (but maybe takes a couple to actually do that, some things like family stuff do interrupt at times). And user given/taken karma can count, but very low because I know I'd hate to get bad karma from some 12 yr old that's ticked off he lost.
Exactly. I'm sure it's going out in waves because if you send out tens of tens of thousands all at once it can: 1) Crash your email servers 2) ISP tend to really clamp down on it as spam I would expect the coupons to arrive over the next week. My suggestion is this: 1) Wait a week 2) Keep checking your spam filters not only on your email program but with your ISP (some don't even send you everything "they" consider spam and bl
On the latest PC Gamer Podcast they featured Demigod live play during the podcast. They explained how to play and such. They also stated that they have moved to DG for most of their online play. Pretty cool! http://www.pcgamerpodcast.com/
I was in a custom game last night with someone that was connected via Proxy and his ping was pretty much the same as the rest of us (under 120). It was a good game despite that I lost...again. [e digicons]X([/e] However, I tried to connect Pantheon and wasn't able to after 3 attempts. Also have issues with Skirmish. But custom games appear to be working fine. At least all my custom game losses don't appear to count on my player record.&nbs
Quoting Frogboy, reply 2At least custom games are now largely bullet proof from what I'm seeing and chatting with other people (except, obviously for people who can't connect to anyone). This type of situation shown in the screenshot also occurs during custom games as well, on a fairly regular basis.
I saw this on Skirmish games a couple times as well. Each time there seemed to be two people that couldn't connec
I got online for the first time tonight (first time I tried) and got into 2 custom games with no issues at all. Even played with CariElf! Haven't tried Pantheon yet. Maybe this weekend.
Awesome Brad. This post reminded me that I need to pre-order Elemental. [e digicons][/e] I support all Stardock games and Elemental is right up my alley as my fav genre. GalCiv 1 and 2: Check. My core gaming love along with the Civ series Sins + Entrentchment: Check. Wasn't really my thing but I gave it a try. Was a lot of fun but it's fallen out of favor with me for some reason. But I still play from time to time.
Ummm, there is an entire forum here called "Developer Journals". Just click that.
You do know you can contact Stardock and get a refund, right?
Plus the fact the latest patches are *beta*.
No problems with AVG. Plus AVG has a custom ignore/exception list. And it's free. Norton and Mcafee suck big time.
I plan to get Dragon Age for sure, especially now. If it had bad DRM I would probably pass. Stardock, PLEASE get this game on Impulse. I almost refuse to buy a game anymore if it's not on Impulse.
If it is anything like Ohio (where I live) it is nice for 2 weeks a year in the spring and fall, after that its either really hot or really cold.I moved here in January from Houston TX to work at Stardock. You need to redefine "really hot". LOL
You'll get 90s and super humid (the biggest issue around here) but most summers it doesn't last more then a week or so. And usually late August/Early September you get that "c
