DAMMIT! Was playing in a good game (still going on I assume), very back and forth. Good teamwork on my side anyway. And the dang game crashed on me with an unhandled exception error. Was playing Oak, was in my Last Stand mode cause I just got killed, I had a level upgrade so I clicked Surge 2 to upgrade and the game froze and crashed. Man, just wasted 30 minutes and will get no favor and it will count as a quit. Uggggggggg. Sorry you lost me guy

Plus I believe the plan is to reset stats at the start of each new Epoch anyway. So when Epoch 3 starts (whenever that may be) stats will get reset again.
If you can't play competatively because you don't have one specific favor item then I suggest you need to get better. ;) I could care less that favor is reset. Big deal.
Uggggggg. And we were on the verge of winning too. Lost a lot of favor because of that disconnect. Oh well.
So I was in my first MP game in a while. It was near the end when the other 5 players all dropped out leaving me against 5 AI. I don't know what that means. So my team eventually won the game. But I see the game recorded on the web site as my 2 teammates got a win but I got a loss? And only 5 favor points? http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/game/663117/player/49938/ Any e
I think *any* game is competition to Demigod and to each other. Being that I'm not a 15 year old that can play games 10 hours a day I have limited game playing time. Right now it's Demigod. But guess what comes out in October? Dragon Age from Bioware. So Demigod will be dead to me in 4 months honestly. Then by the end of the year will be Fallout 3 Game of the Year and everything will be dead to me but that. Then Elemental will be out next year
What I meant was whether this was Boogie's idea with the rest of the team's approval, or if he was just the chosen front-man.
Well, I'd say it's official since Stardock has several other twitter accounts for things like Impulse and Frogboy himself has a twitter account as well as Zoomba. They are using Twitter to get the word out. Like yesterday they had a poll on Twitter for what new game coming out you want Impulse to
I've played a few games (single player) with pretty much this build today and so far I like it. I've been playing for a while a much more focused minion build but this leaves Oak pretty weak early when he needs to be farming. This build is similar but puts more emphasis on Pent early which really help survival against enemy DG's early and can at least turn them back if you can hit them twice with it. All in all not bad and after level 10 or so it's getting on par with a mo
I'll be honest in that I haven't played online for a couple weeks now after hosting a newbie game and a couple newbies kept crying about how bad they were even though I was trying to give them advice and then they rage quitted. It's a newbie game for crying out loud, try to learn! I've just been playing single player ever since. This whole thread and my recent experiences remind me why I don't play multiplayer games anymore. Too many 12 year old mad because they got p
I think of it this way: In Gal Civ 2 you can zoom all the way out to the point everything becomes icons and you can still play the whole game that way. You can also control the zoom amount at which point it turns to icons. So with Elemental I think it's the same thing. At a certain zoom out it turns into the cloth map with icons on it for your units/cities/etc. and you can still play the game.
I don't care much for Twitter in general but I use it all the time to follow certain companies for updates. So I have a Twitter account and rarely actually post anything. I don't follow anyone to see what they had for lunch. I DO follow companies like Stardock and people like Zoomba and Frogboy to get the latest updates on games and patches. I DO follow a couple local newspapers/radio stations to get local news. I DO follow a few NFL related people, inclu
Can't wait!
I would have to agree that the game overall is more "glitchy" for me with this patch. I really haven't had any major issues with the game itself (not connectivity) since release other then then Sedna bug. But now I actually see pathfinding issues. Click a tower to attack that just around the corner and your DG will get stuck and not get to it yet get hammered with tower lightning cause he's close enough. Ouch. Also some weird camera issues at times.
A properly played Oak minion build is pretty darn strong. Match it up with Surge 2 and Divine Justice 3 along with Frenzy for max spirits, and get equipment that enhances your minions with armor, attack bonus, speed, etc and you've got a nearly unstoppable army along with yourself that can pretty much rush the base on your own once you get to level 12-15. And you never need to worry about mana (or health unless you get double/triple teamed), just find the nearest creep wave.
Upon starting a new game or when coming back from the dead the camera is stuck on follow your DG mode. Have to hit backspace to clear it. Playing single player only right now so not sure if it's seen in multiplayer or not.
I just right click the target I want to attack.
I'd say if the only problem with 1.01 is starting Skirmish games then I say spend a bit more time on it but get it out the door anyway and work on the Skirmish issue. I don't know about anyone else but I can't ever get connected to a Skirmish or Pantheon game (no problems with Custom). So going from 0% to 75% would be a HUGE improvement.
What's funny though is that I just hosted a newbies welcome game. Had a few noobs in it. My team was winning so I was typing a lot trying to help the other guys, give advice on builds or strat. 2 of them still quit. How do you expect to get better if you won't even stay around to get advice to get better? I give up.
So I've been playing Demigod a lot. It's a fun game to be sure. But over time now it's starting to remind me why I don't like multiplayer games in general: 1) Tards online (more like 12 yr olds) 2) Ragequitters 3) Fun factor just goes down as more idiots joing the game online I'm so ready to return to my roots, single player focused strategy game. Bring it!
I have *never* quit a game, no matter how bad my team is doing. Not only have I had a couple pretty amazing comebacks but I'm not a quitter. If it really is a done deal that I'll lose I'll use my time to try different crazy strats or abilities or items that I normally don't do. Use it as a learning tool.
You can certainly come back in this game. I posted a while back where my team had our 52K citidal down to 3K when the waves finally stopped because we went and capped their portals while they were beating down our cit. So the waves stopped and maybe we were lucky but the 3 demigods had to retreat. We came back and won that game. Had one other game similar to the original poster where pretty quickly we got killed quite a bit and quite a few of our towers were down.&
Frogboy has posted about his in his journals but I think you really need 256K up, 128K bare minimum for the game to run smoothly. He states to stick to 3v3 or smaller if you have less then this. The new update out next week is supposed to lower the amount of data being sent up so this may help you. Check your speed at speedtest.net to make sure what it really is.
I would agree that going hybrid is a bad thing in most cases, at least against good players. Jack of all trades, master of none. If you're going assasain the first half then keep it up, maybe with some spirit backups. If you go minion you really need to go all the way with it. You'll be weak the first few levels but once you reach level 10-12 your minion/spirit swarm start to do some serious damage. I've been working on a minion build for a while and ge
Let me explain to you from the other perspective why noobs are frequently not welcome. Now let me start by I don't yell at noobs, I do my best to help them once they are in a game, no point in harassing them once the game has started. Just put yourself in my shoes for a sec. I play the pantheon tourney mainly, and after waiting around 30min-45min for a game to actually connect, about half the time I am either 2v1 or with a computer.
The point is that this is a P2P game, there are no servers in Europe or anywhere else that hose games. They *do* have proxy servers around the world including Europe but they don't host any games. I've played plenty of games with guys from Europe and Russia in them and their pings are just fine under 200. No troubles.
