Yea, no idea what you mean by obvious monsters needing two people. I just killed everything, period. I usually played the chick and if I got overwhelmed I would just phase out which would damage the crap out of the mob, heal up while phased, then phase back in while in the middle of the mob which would send out a huge lightning shockwave which would usually take out whatever was there and I'd just mop up the rest with SMG. LOVED Borderlands and played it twice thru SP only. Never even tried to do MP as I hate MP. One of the best games I have ever played, in my Top 5 all time. B2 will be on my XMas list for sure.

Sounds good to me. I can't even remember the last game I bought at retail. Plus there are *NO* PC games at retail anyway. Walk into Best Buy and all you see is WOW, couple shooters, a wall of SIMS and that's about it. Seriously. No way would either Rebellion or Fallen Enchantress get any shelf space outside of maybe 1 or 2 copies if you're lucky. Retail for PC games has been dead, dead, dead, for a while so don't sweat it at all.

Local farmer would pick me and the other kids up at 6am and we'd pick Raspberries until the afternoon. Made like 35 cents a quart. I tried out the demo and played for almost 2 hours and while I didn't think I was going to like it I thought it kicked arss. I even liked the combat and I normally don't like that kind of combat. No way will I pay $60 for it, but once it's down to $30 or so (perhaps on a Steam summer sale) it's a must buy for me. Try the demo at least.

I have used ATI cards for many years after a bad Nvidia experience (it was 10 years ago though). Never had a single problem with ATI cards on new games. Granted I don't play shooters. But my 6950 rocks Skyrim on full Ultra at 60 fps with no hiccups and I had no problems at launch of that game either. Just keep your drivers up to date and look for beta drivers targeted for your specific game if there are issues. Nvidia does the same thing.

I'm still following this thread but I'm holding off on purchase right now. This may be a game I pick up in 6 months to a year from now with an expansion or two included for the price. Hopefully they will also come up with a free trial as well. Could either do a timed trial (free 10 days) or level (free up to level 5 or so) to give people a chance to try it out first.

Kass City, got it. I assume to group up you can only group up with other Sith or Jedi. So if I played a Jedi I couldn't group up with Frogboy who is playing a Sith for example. I'm heading to Best Buy today to get some printer ink and may pick it up with leftover Xmas money. I may need a break from Skyrim anyway. LOL

So it sounds like you can play this mostly single-player and enjoy it? If so that would give me great incentive for sure. It's the main reason why I liked DDO since you can Solo most of the content and only need to group up if you want to do a raid. You guys are pulling me in like a black hole.

It's not that $15 is a lot of money, but it all adds up. I just don't have the time to spend hours on end every day to feel like I'd get my money's worth out of it. The only MMO I've really felt comfortable playing is DDO and it's free to play. I have paid for the monthly VIP but only a couple times and only for 2 month both times. But the game is *free* to download and install and play. $80 on top of the $15 a month is what kills me. Same
