Problem 4. Pop calcuation. Just don't count any population more than 1000 billions - enough to dominate Gigantic/Abudant. Problem 5. Metaverse is penalizing you for submitting low point value games. As has been pointed out before, this is illogical. Fix. Several have been suggested, you could simply sort the scores from highest to lowest and stop calculating the score when the next game would lower the overall score. Scores: 1000,400,400 -> 1

Well i'll post tables on Apolyton tomorrow. Test 3 - 1st part of results Trying to get rid of rounding errors Rev 17 Bonus Tax Eff% 0% 54 10% 51 6% 20% 49 10% 30% 47 15% 40% 45 20% 50% 43 26% More likely that Empire bonus to econ is linear and effectively gives half of it's bonus Revenue=FreeRevenue+TaxRate*PopulationTax*(1+EconBonusFromBuildings)*(1+EmpireBonus/2) ~SDC~

Economy tests 1) Economy bonus from buildings In test planet population = 1000 Free Revenue is substracted from each number in this table (it was 4 for this planet PQ), so Free Revenue is not affected by economy bonus from buildings. Tax - minimum Tax Rate where Revenue equal to a listed number - say in 1st coloumn revenue from population with tax 52% equal to 9, and with tax 53% revenue from population equal to 10. --GalCiv excels at this. You can take a player whose never read the manual, never "tested" different options, never studied the math behind the numbers and if they play long enough and are a good strategist they can become the best GalCiv player ever.-- I can say: "No way!". It's just impossible. I know how top players play. In Heroes of Might and Magic 3 competition (best Moscow vs best St. Petersburg players) several months ago i saw how played Moscow player 'Imp' (he's also playing M

To Valamir 1) So you think that any other designers of strategy games are wrong because they give this information to a players? 2) AI using this information, so why players can't use it? 3) This is not an arcade there 'big sword' is better than 'small sword' and this is all that a player need to know. I don't understand how can you make right decisions w/o knowlege of rules. ~SDC~

From my tests http://apolyton.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=85148 base income from PQ 15 = 0 16-17 = 2 18-19 = 4 20-22 = 6 24 = 7 It's for a population of 0, it's not affected by taxes (tested) and econ. bonuses (AFAIK) Income from 1000 population with taxes 50% is equal to 9, so it will be 6 for 33% taxes. Just some tips to testers: 1) I'm using transports to change planetary population. Note that in some cases (maybe 1/2 proba

Sorry error in last post 'Bonus' instead of 'BonusModifier' This means that for every 1 bc spent you get 1 non-free 'shield' and a number of free shields equal to FreeBonus/(1+NonFreeBonus)=66,67% / (100%+33,33%)=50%. If you spend 20 bc, you'll get 20+20*(FreeBonus/(1+NonFreeBonus))=20+20*(66,67% / 133,33%)=20+20*50%=30 'shields' This means that you got an additional 50% from your spending for free - this is a 'real' bonus that give you your +100% production starbase bonus

It's mentioned in FAQ->How can I link to my files? In the "View Files" (Upload http://apolyton.net/upload/ -> Click "View" button) page each file name is a link to the file. This is the url (right click and "Copy Link Location"(Mozilla) or "Copy Shortcut"(IE) to copy it) that you can use to link to your file. BE CAREFULL! Files are only accessible if they are linked from page on the Apolyton server. This means that if you want to show the file on another site you must link to
