I thought that a City added +3 to population. The base for each planet is 3. So if I have 8 cities on the planet it should be 27. But why is it 17?

I posted this in the general forum, which might not have been the right place. So I am trying again. I just received "Slowdown", it gives me the flavor text. But no text on the effect of the slowdown. I have noticed this since Crusade. Is this intentional? I am playing 2.8 opt in. Update, "Neighbors" has not text on effects either. Give Peace a Chance has no text on effects.
Here is a screen shot form the game I am currently playing 2.71 version: Here is a screen shot from the game I am currently playing 2.8 version: No change in the settings on my machine. One is playable the other is not.
It is disappointing there is no response from Stardock if this is intentional or not.

Why are so many buildings invulnerable? I agree that maybe the galactic only buildings should be invulnerable. But Intimidation Centers, what if I don't want any malevolent points. I destroy the whole planet? If I capture another race's one building per race building, why can't I still build mine? No, it is invunlerable, and now I have to deal with the AIs poor placement of those building?
+5% to range? +5% to damage? +5% to targeting? +5% to what stat?
I am not sure if this is a proper typo, but Precursor Treasury has: +10 Benevolent, +10% Research to this colony. +10 Pragmatic, +5% to all weapons on all our ships. +10 Malevolent, +5% to all weapons on all our ships. What +5% for each?
When I train a citizen to be an administrator I gain 5 administration points. When I promote administrator to Minister I gain 4 administration points. The text for training a citizen says "Administrators provide 5 points for administration which are in turn are consumed by Survey Ships, Colonies, and Starbases." The text for minister says "Provides 5 more administrative resources. Minister Retires" Is this correct, when I train a citizen I gain 5 admin poin
I am just getting back to playing. I will great job on Crusade, I enjoy it. I love the tribbles er snugglers needed for starbase promenade.
I am not seeing this corrected yet. The Social Industry tech says +2 to all our Engineers. The Military Industry tech says +2 to all workers.
How about changing Monsantium Deposit adjacency bonus to plus Food, instead of Population?
Traits are showing up in the civilisation builder twice. I consistently get vigilant and warriors twice. If you select the duplicate (the second one, further down the list as far as I can tell) and save, the race will save fine but upon selecting the race it will be illegal because it will have that trait selected twice (thus 3 of 2 traits point spent).
Already fixed, internally. Whatever that means.
Net Income tool tip shows different amount than on the Govern screen Economy page. In the game I am playing the net income says 1.7. But the economy screen says net weekly income is -4.
This is my first look at the expansion and WOW. Brad, Paul and company of done a truly outstanding job. Thank you.
1. When offering a resource like promethium and thulium, there is only a benefit when 1 is offered. For example I offered 15 promethium and it didn't change how the race viewed the trade. 2. When exploring some anomalies and receiving Mysterious hardware it is either a 15% tech boost on the technology I am researching or nothing. Is it supposed to be nothing?
In the new Civilization builder, there are several abilities traits that are duplicated: Vigilant Discreet Warriors If you select one and save your new civilization, when you go back to edit both versions are selected. Then your civilization has too many abilities.
When can you take my money for Crusade?
All the Twitch videos are labeled as Ashes: Escalation as of 03/17/17.
Please take my money, I can't wait for DLC.
I also play with no mod. The AI, builds waves of ships, rarely creating a fleet even with 2 or more ships in same hex. Yes, this is 2.0. The worst that I had was 76 single ships in one hex.
For the combat case, Carriers combat is implemented by temporarily adding fighters to your fleet, then removing them. During that temporary period, your effective range is decreased, but it has no real impact on the combat or your movement thereafter. Not sure about your explorer case. - Did you use a wormhole and leap outside your range? - Did your explorer join a fleet with a shorter-ranged ship?
I have been playing 2.0. Sometimes when I am attacking a stack of ships, it will suddenly say I am out of support range. I was also moving an explorer, everything was, then bam out of range to move to next hex. I was 15 hexes out of range! This is happening during the same turn, not from one turn to another.
As someone who "one more turn" myself into the wee hours. Maybe add a clock, place it on the bar with the resources?
I have had this is for a long time. This only appears to happen with carriers.
